"I'm sorry, that's impossible!" The executioner responded immediately, though his voice wavered compared to before. When Roger made his request, the executioner's heart raced with fear, suspecting Roger planned to escape.
"Hahaha, Loguetown is such a nice place. Why would I run away?" Roger, seemingly reading the executioner's mind, laughed heartily.
"Hey, Pirate King, where did you hide your treasure?" A voice suddenly broke the solemn atmosphere, halting the executioner's movements.
"Silence!" Vice Admiral Tsuru shouted, reprimanding the pirate who spoke out of turn. A sense of foreboding crept into her heart.
"Hahaha, the Grand Line's greatest treasure, ONE PIECE!" Roger exclaimed, as if waiting for this moment, his aura of freedom and dominance radiating outward. His presence, though contained, affected only the executioners beside him, leaving the rest unscathed.
At this moment, Roger's true essence shone through—his bold, free-spirited, and unrestrained nature. Even facing death, Roger displayed no fear; instead, he exuded calm authority, embodying the Pirate King.
"Executioners, carry out the sentence NOW!" Vice Admiral Tsuru ordered in panic, sensing Roger's intentions for surrendering. Garp, Zephyr, and others shared her unease, realizing Roger's surrender led to this pivotal moment.
However, it was too late. The executioners, intimidated by Roger, hesitated, unable to act.
"Want my treasure?" Roger's face lit up with excitement, madness, and anticipation. He had been waiting for this very moment.
Roger was too proud to let illness quietly claim his life. As the Pirate King, he wouldn't die unnoticed. He aimed to ignite a wave of piracy worldwide, shaking the foundations of the World Government and paving the way for a successor to challenge the rulers of the world.
Pirates and ambitious individuals worldwide focused intently on Roger, eager to learn the location of his legendary treasure. The promise of untold wealth and power was an irresistible dream for many.
"If you want it, it's yours. Find it! I left everything the world has to offer there!" Roger's shout incited fervor among the crowd, his words broadcast globally, sparking an impulsive desire in countless people to set sail and seek the treasure.
"Slash!!!"
As Roger finished speaking, the executioners finally acted, ending the Pirate King's life. Yet Roger showed no pain, maintaining his iconic smile even in death.
Silence enveloped the scene, as everyone processed Roger's final words. The crowd erupted in a deafening cheer, predominantly pirates, inspired by Roger's message. They imagined themselves claiming the treasure, and their excitement spilled over into jubilant shouts.
"Cut the Transponder Snail broadcast immediately!" Vice Admiral Tsuru ordered, realizing Roger's plan to use his execution to incite global unrest. But her command came too late; Roger's words had already reached every corner of the world.
News outlets rushed to draft articles, and by the next day, Roger's final proclamation would be known worldwide.
"Captain!!" Buggy sobbed uncontrollably, tears streaming down his face as he watched Roger's lifeless body.
"Captain, I'll fulfill your wish!" Shanks cried, clutching the straw hat Roger had entrusted to him.
"So, this was your choice?" Rayleigh paused mid-drink, tears streaming down his face as he reflected on Roger's decision.
"Gurararara, Roger, even in death, you had to make a statement?" Whitebeard pondered, recalling his friendship with Roger and the way he chose to die.
"Gyahahaha, Roger, you truly were a pirate to the end. Though you refused to share the ancient weapon's secret with me, your death honors your title as Pirate King!" Shiki the Golden Lion laughed, understanding Roger's decision to die in such a manner. Roger's choice symbolized the essence of being a pirate, epitomizing the Pirate King's legacy.
"Mamamama, Roger, you got what you deserved for stealing my Poneglyphs!" Big Mom laughed, failing to grasp the significance of Roger's last words, only rejoicing in his demise.
"The treasure is mine!!"
"Hahaha, with the treasure, I'll own everything in the world!"
"I'm setting sail to find the treasure!"
Roger's words ignited a frenzy among the pirates in Loguetown. They dispersed, eager to begin their quest for the legendary treasure.
Watching the chaos unfold, the Marines grew grim. Roger had played them, using the Navy and World Government to spark a pirate storm, driving the world into madness.
"Vice Admiral Tsuru, I request permission to eliminate the pirates in Loguetown!" Sakazuki demanded, magma bubbling around his clenched fists, marking his impatience.
"Hahaha, Tsuru, since these pirates are so eager, let's clean the sea of its filth!" Garp, equally incensed, supported Sakazuki's call for action.
"All Marines, engage! Eliminate the pirates in Loguetown!" Vice Admiral Tsuru commanded resolutely.
"Great Eruption!"
Sakazuki, ready and waiting, unleashed his magma fists upon the pirates.
"The Marines have attacked, run!!"
"Mere Marines, you dare block my path to the treasure? Die!"
"Out of the way, or I'll make your death painful!"
The Marines' assault triggered a riot among the pirates, who fought back chaotically. Without unity, the pirates fell easily to the Marines, especially to the four powerful Admirals.
"Hmm, the two interns from the Roger Pirates?"
Among the chaos, Buggy and Shanks were conspicuously young and caught Garp's attention.
"Garp, those two youngsters are under my protection. I won't let you interfere with their journey!" Rayleigh intercepted Garp, defending Buggy and Shanks.
"I knew you Roger Pirates would show up here. I'm determined to capture those two!" Garp declared, launching a punch at Rayleigh.
"I'll protect those two. You won't catch them, Garp!" Rayleigh, amidst the crowded battlefield, easily deflected Garp's attack, knowing Garp couldn't unleash his full power.
"The Marine Hunter, Mihawk? He won't escape!" Zephyr spotted Mihawk fleeing and pursued him.
Mihawk, notorious in West Blue as the Marine Hunter, had retaliated against a bounty placed on him by the Marines, destroying several bases and warships. His actions earned him the Marine Hunter title, drawing the Navy's ire and attempts to capture him, which he repeatedly thwarted.
Zephyr, having lost several students to Mihawk, had memorized his appearance.
"Not good, we've been spotted!"
Seeing Zephyr approaching, Gai Nie's Observation Haki detected the imminent danger. Despite his Grandmaster Swordsman status, his physical prowess, Haki, and Devil Fruit abilities were underdeveloped, rendering him vulnerable against Admiral Zephyr's might.
