The creature towering above Times Square was unlike anything Tony, Peter, or Doctor Strange had ever seen. Its body, a horrifying amalgamation of flesh and metal, moved with a precision that belied its monstrous size. Every step sent tremors through the ground, and its jagged, mechanical crown crackled with electrical energy as if feeding off the rift from which it had emerged.
The crowds had long since fled, but Tony could feel the tension mounting. The multiverse was now spilling directly into their world, and whatever was causing these rifts had just raised the stakes.
"F.R.I.D.A.Y., give me a full scan on that thing," Tony ordered, already shifting into a battle stance. He wasn't sure if they could stop this creature the same way they had handled the soldiers. This one was different—more powerful, more dangerous.
Peter Parker, a few feet away, crouched on a lamppost, gazing up at the colossus in disbelief. "That thing's huge! I don't even know where to start."
Doctor Strange floated above the street, his cloak billowing in the wind. His eyes glowed with mystical energy as he studied the creature. "This isn't just some random monster. It's a multiversal entity—something born from the chaos we've unleashed."
"That's what I was afraid of," Tony muttered as his HUD filled with data. The readings were off the charts. The creature was drawing power directly from the rift, and its energy levels were climbing fast. "This thing is basically a walking multiverse bomb. If we don't stop it, it's going to flatten the city—or worse."
The colossus let out a deafening roar, raising one massive, armored arm toward the sky. Pulses of energy began to gather in its hand, forming a crackling ball of light that grew with terrifying speed.
"Uh, guys? I think it's charging up for something big!" Peter shouted, his Spider-Sense tingling wildly. He fired a web and swung out of the way as a beam of energy erupted from the creature's hand, slicing through the air and obliterating a row of parked cars.
Tony reacted instantly, firing up into the sky to get a better angle. "That's gonna be a problem. We need to drain its power or sever its connection to the rift. Doctor, any ideas?"
Strange landed beside Peter and Tony, summoning a swirling ring of mystical energy. "I can try to cut off its access to the rift, but it's going to take time."
Peter, perched on the side of a building, fired webs at the creature's legs, hoping to slow it down. "No pressure, right?"
Tony dodged another beam of energy and began flying around the creature in wide circles, drawing its attention. "I'll keep it busy. Do what you need to, Strange!"
The creature swiped at Tony with its massive arm, but he was too fast, weaving through the air and unleashing a barrage of missiles. The explosives detonated against the colossus's armor, but it barely seemed to notice. Its mechanical body shifted, absorbing the impacts like they were nothing.
"Okay, that didn't even scratch it," Tony muttered, boosting higher to avoid a swing from the creature's other arm. "F.R.I.D.A.Y., give me something to work with here!"
F.R.I.D.A.Y.'s voice chimed in through his helmet. "Sir, I'm detecting a core of unstable energy at the center of the creature's chest. If we can overload it, we may be able to disrupt its connection to the rift."
Tony's eyes locked on the glowing center of the creature's chest. The core was pulsing with multiversal energy, much like the smaller soldiers they had faced earlier. "Got it. I'll go for the core. Parker, keep it distracted!"
Peter swung in closer, flipping through the air to avoid a massive swing from the creature's arm. "Distraction duty. Got it!"
He fired web after web at the creature's face, covering its glowing eyes with thick, sticky webbing. The colossus let out another roar, stumbling slightly as it tried to shake the webs off.
"That's right, big guy! Over here!" Peter taunted, swinging around the creature's head in a dizzying display of acrobatics.
Meanwhile, Doctor Strange stood at the edge of the battle, his hands glowing with mystical energy as he chanted a powerful incantation. The air around him shimmered with magic, and slowly, the edges of the rift began to fluctuate. He was starting to sever the connection, but the process was delicate—and dangerous.
Tony rocketed toward the creature's chest, his repulsors flaring as he aimed for the glowing core. "Come on, just a little closer…"
Just as Tony was about to fire, the creature swatted at him with lightning speed. Tony barely managed to dodge, spiraling out of control for a moment before regaining his balance. The creature had sensed the threat to its core.
"Parker! I need more time!" Tony shouted as he circled around for another pass.
Peter swung in closer, landing a solid punch to the creature's arm before webbing its hand to a nearby building. "On it! Just don't get squished!"
With one arm momentarily pinned, the creature struggled to free itself, giving Tony the opening he needed. He shot toward the core again, this time charging his unibeam to full power.
"Alright, let's see how you like this!" Tony unleashed the unibeam directly at the glowing core in the creature's chest. The beam of concentrated energy slammed into the core, causing the colossus to stumble backward.
The core flickered and pulsed, but it didn't shut down. Instead, the creature let out a guttural growl, and the energy flowing through its body surged even higher.
"Stark, the core is destabilizing!" Strange warned from below. "If you keep attacking it, you'll cause an explosion that could wipe out half the city!"
Tony cursed under his breath, pulling back. "Then we need to overload it without blowing everything sky-high. Doctor, how's that rift coming?"
"I'm almost there," Strange replied, sweat beading on his forehead. His spell was taking every ounce of his concentration. "Just a few more seconds!"
Peter, still dodging the creature's wild attacks, called out, "We don't have a few seconds!"
The colossus, sensing that it was losing its connection to the rift, let out a furious bellow and began charging energy once again. Its body glowed with an intense light as it prepared to release another devastating blast.
Tony's mind raced. If Strange couldn't sever the rift in time, the creature would unleash an explosion of multiversal energy that would level the entire city.
Suddenly, an idea hit him. It was risky, but it was their only shot.
"Strange, can you hold that rift open for a few more seconds?" Tony asked, his voice urgent.
Strange frowned. "What are you planning, Stark?"
Tony boosted higher into the air, positioning himself directly above the colossus. "I'm going to channel its energy back into the rift. If we can reverse the flow, it'll collapse on itself!"
Strange hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "I'll keep it open. But you only have one shot at this."
Tony turned to Peter. "Parker, get clear! This is going to get messy."
Peter swung out of range just as the colossus raised its arm, preparing to unleash its energy. Tony's suit hummed with power as he charged his repulsors to full capacity.
"Alright, big guy," Tony muttered. "Let's see if you can handle this."
With a roar of his own, Tony fired his repulsors directly at the colossus's core, but instead of trying to destroy it, he redirected the energy. The core pulsed, and for a moment, the flow of power reversed. The creature let out a deafening scream as its own energy was pulled back toward the rift.
Strange's hands glowed as he held the rift open, his eyes fixed on the creature. "Now, Stark! Finish it!"
Tony unleashed the last of his power, pushing the creature's energy into the rift with everything he had. The colossus thrashed and writhed as the rift pulled it in, piece by piece, until finally, with a blinding flash of light, the creature and the rift collapsed in on themselves.
The sky above Times Square cleared, and the city was eerily silent for a moment.
Peter swung down to Tony, who was hovering above the ground, his armor sparking and smoking from the strain.
"That was… insane," Peter said, panting. "But we did it."
Tony nodded, breathing heavily. "Yeah… but something tells me this was just the beginning."
Doctor Strange landed beside them, his expression grim. "The rift may be closed, but the forces behind these incursions won't stop. We've bought ourselves some time, but the real battle is yet to come."
Tony stared at the spot where the rift had been, his mind already racing with plans for what lay ahead. They had survived this round, but the multiverse was far from done with them.
And somewhere, in the vast expanse of infinite realities, the true enemy was waiting.
