Fourteen years ago…
At home, Uchiha Tajima gently stroked his wife's growing belly, his heart filled with joy. "Let's name our first child Madara!" he thought. Just then, a slow knock echoed through the house.
Puzzled, he opened the door and was surprised to see his long-absent teacher, Uchiha Igaku.
"Teacher, you've been keeping a low profile these past few years. What brings you here today?" Uchiha Tajima warmly welcomed him inside.
"Tajima—no, I should say, Clan Leader," Uchiha Igaku said, preparing to bow.
"Teacher, please don't be so formal. I'll always be your student in front of you," Uchiha Tajima quickly stopped him from bowing.
"Etiquette must not be forgotten," Igaku replied, his voice firm.
"Well, alright then. You wouldn't have come without a reason, Teacher. What brings you here?"
Unable to refuse, Uchiha Tajima asked directly.
"I have buried my own child, and now only Gin is left in the family. I'd like him to live with me so that he doesn't have to endure a lonely childhood."
Uchiha Igaku raised his head, his ink-black eyes as deep and mysterious as a black hole.
Uchiha Tajima's expression showed reluctance. These two children, who had awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, were entrusted to him personally by the previous clan leader.
They held powers far beyond their age, and without proper guidance, they would become ticking time bombs.
"I'm sorry, Teacher," Uchiha Tajima finally responded.
Seeing his hesitation, Uchiha Igaku's expression softened, as if expecting this. He continued, "Then allow me to join their research. I've heard from Uchiha Haru that you're studying their Sharingan abilities. I believe I can be of some help."
"If that's the case, I'd be grateful for your assistance, Teacher."
Unable to decline further, Uchiha Tajima agreed.
After all, Uchiha Igaku was the foremost expert on the Sharingan within the clan, and his participation would be highly beneficial in understanding and controlling the children's powers.
Having obtained the answer he sought, Uchiha Igaku didn't linger.
After a brief farewell, he disappeared into the night.
In the following years, Uchiha Igaku joined the research on the two children, gradually replacing Uchiha Haru as the head of the experiments.
Around this time, Uchiha Tajima's wife gave birth, and as a new father, he became preoccupied with both clan affairs and family responsibilities, leaving the entire Mangekyō research in Igaku's hands.
But Uchiha Tajima wasn't completely unaware.
He had stationed Uchiha Ryuei, a loyal guard, at the research facility to monitor Igaku's every move.
Several years passed peacefully, with Uchiha Tajima's children being born one after another.
Uchiha Gin, due to his unique circumstances, was occasionally allowed to leave the facility, while Nameless, due to his "Yasaka's Spears" eye technique, remained confined to the research lab.
This tranquility lasted until six years ago...
"What? Uchiha Igaku suggested turning the two children into 'war weapons'?" Uchiha Tajima looked up from the documents he was working on, staring incredulously at Uchiha Haru, who stood before him with a worried expression.
"Yes, according to Uchiha Igaku's research, he found that Uchiha Gin's Mangekyō ability can complement Nameless's powers. Nameless's Kagutsuchi can enhance Gin's Amaterasu, upgrading the black flames into a form-changing jutsu with even greater destructive power. Meanwhile, Gin's Tsukuyomi can assist Nameless's "Yasaka Spears" by marking enemies, and the chakra absorbed by Yasaka Spears can fuel Gin's Tsukuyomi, creating a perpetual cycle."
Uchiha Haru explained the results of the experiments, holding a file in his hand.
"But Gin is his own grandson! How could he bring himself to do this?" Uchiha Tajima asked in disbelief. As clan leader, he understood the implications of turning someone into a "war weapon"—it meant stripping away their humanity and turning them into tools for battle.
"I don't know, but he has already begun experimenting, starting with Nameless," Haru responded, his haggard face showing deep concern.
Nameless's "Yasaka Spears" technique was far more threatening than Gin's abilities—mind control combined with chakra absorption made him a devastating force in large-scale battles.
"No! Stop the experiments immediately. You'll take Igaku's place and calm the children down," Uchiha Tajima ordered, furious that Igaku had begun such cruel trials without his approval.
"Yes, sir!" Uchiha Haru answered, ready to leave.
In the research lab, in a sterile white room, two beds were placed.
On one of them, a boy yawned out of boredom, unaware of the nightmare that was about to begin.
The boy's name was Uchiha Gin, a modern-day person who had accidentally drowned and ended up reincarnated in this world.
When he first saw the primitive environment around him as a newborn, he nearly fainted, thinking he had been born into ancient times where he'd have to wipe himself with stones.
However, upon seeing the familiar Uchiha crest on his father's back, he quickly recovered.
This was the world of Naruto, and he was an Uchiha!
He was destined to rise!
But things didn't go as planned.
This era was still far from the main story, and with no cheats to help him, Gin resigned himself to living like a normal child.
However, fate always has surprises.
After forming a bond with his new parents, he received news from the frontlines—both had died.
Overcome with grief, he unexpectedly awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, though the emotional strain left him in a coma.
When he awoke, he found himself under the protection of the former clan leader, along with the girl from the neighboring house.
After many twists and turns, the two children eventually ended up in the research facility.
"Ha~"
Gin stretched lazily, sunlight glinting off his dark, curly hair.
His every movement exuded laziness.
He turned toward the other bed, where a slender girl lay, and asked, "Hikari, are you really not interested in going outside? I can ask my uncle to take you next time. Oh, by the way, Izuna wet the bed the other night! Haha! His mom gave him quite the scolding."
The curly-haired boy laughed so hard that his eyes narrowed.
He leaned in conspiratorially, lowering his voice, "But I know that the bedsheet actually belongs to Madara. That kid is so bad—he blamed it all on Izuna."
The girl, who had been resting with her eyes closed, opened them, looking exasperated. She rolled her eyes and said, "Please, stop telling me embarrassing stories about your brothers. I really don't care."
"As for going outside, I have nothing left out there to hold onto. Staying here is fine… as long as you're here."
The girl, now without her parents, had no other relatives outside.
Her only remaining connection seemed to be the boy in front of her.
Her eyes fell on him as he continued to make funny faces, trying to cheer her up.
"Gin, if you're so bored, why don't you visit your grandfather? He's been locked up in his lab for months now. Aren't you worried about him?" the girl casually mentioned, thinking of Uchiha Igaku, whom they hadn't seen much of lately.
"Ugh, why'd you bring him up? Every time I see him, it's just more tests, and I end up exhausted with nothing to show for it. Grandpa Ryuei is much better—he always sneaks me candy."
Gin slouched, his expression drooping like a defeated fish, as he ranted about his grandfather.
Eight years ago, the two young children were brought to the research lab.
Initially, Uchiha Tajima visited them often, but after he became clan leader, his visits grew less frequent.
Gin was occasionally allowed to return home, but Hikari, due to her unstable Sharingan abilities, was confined to the lab under the cold, watchful eyes of Uchiha Haru.
Some time later, an old man with the same curly hair as Gin arrived, claiming to be his grandfather.
He took over Uchiha Haru's role and often played with the two children, leaving behind many fond memories in the form of photographs.
