He gestured toward a grappling dummy on the mat. "You remember your Jiu-Jitsu, don't you?"

Chloe nodded, though the memories were hazy. "I was decent at it. Haven't practiced much lately."

"Decent won't cut it," Vince said, kneeling beside the dummy. "Jiu-Jitsu isn't about brute strength; it's about leverage, timing, and strategy. Take the armbar, for example. The goal isn't just to force your opponent into submission—it's to create a situation where they have no choice. You isolate the arm, control their movement, and apply pressure where they're weakest. It's about thinking three moves ahead."

He demonstrated, smoothly transitioning the dummy's "arm" into position. "Notice the setup. You're not muscling it—you're using your whole body to trap them. That's the key. Efficiency. You don't need to overpower them; you need to outthink them."

Chloe crouched beside him, watching intently. Vince continued. "Jiu-Jitsu is like life, Chloe.
