"Still slow," Lena teased, backing away.
Chloe narrowed her eyes. "Still cocky." She feinted left, then landed a solid right hook that sent Lena staggering.
Jack winced from his seat. "She's playing too close. Chloe's faster."
Ruby grabbed his arm. "Lena knows her. Trust her."

By the third round, the fight had turned into a battle of wits. Both sisters were evenly matched, each exploiting the other's weaknesses while defending their own.
"You haven't changed," Lena said, dodging a flurry of punches.
Chloe laughed, a harsh sound. "Neither have you. Still trying to be the hero."
Lena landed a spinning back kick, knocking Chloe into the ropes. "And you're still trying to prove you're better than everyone else."
Chloe wiped a trickle of blood from her lip. "Maybe because I am."
