"Let's get this over with, Ghost," Marco sneered from across the ring, pacing like a predator ready to pounce. "You've been out of the game too long. The crowd's here to see you fail."
Jack stood in his corner, bouncing lightly on his feet, his expression calm but focused. "They're here to see a fight, Marco. I just happen to be the one giving them a good show."
The referee stepped to the center of the ring. "Gentlemen, this is a four-round match. No illegal moves, no excuses. May the best fighter win. Touch gloves."
Marco extended his gloves, his grin mocking. Jack barely tapped them, his eyes never leaving Marco's.
