Ariel Ocean was still fuming, her lips pressed tight in frustration.
She pointed at the floor and gritted her teeth. "Rhysand, you're sleeping down there tonight!"
Rhysand Lee Golden barely glanced at her, his expression calm as ever. "Look up," he said coolly.
Before she could argue, Ariel instinctively followed his gaze.
Her eyes widened as she spotted a huge spider, nearly the size of her palm, dangling from the ceiling, inching closer with each second.
It was less than half a meter from her head.
A sharp scream escaped her lips, loud enough to ring in Rhysand's ears. He winced slightly.
"Ariel..." he started, but before he could finish, she had leapt into his arms, clinging tightly around his neck, shrieking, "Get it away, quickly! AHHH!"
Rhysand's lips barely twitched, his strong arms moving automatically to steady her. "Ariel, can't you just use a slipper?"
