Captain Flapjack was DEAD !
This piece of news shocked the living daylight out of the Cosmic Earth Alliance pirate exterminating corps . It was simply unbelievable , that was not even as shocking to them as knowing that it was a recently awakened ability user that killed captain Flapjack . Like a literal newbie , someone who was still wet behind the ears !
Who captain Flapjack was , virtually everyone in the Red giant star quadrant knew , his notorious reputation preceded his presence .
The CEA 's pirate exterminating corps had employed virtually all the ways they could employ even employing an Ascendancy realm expert just to apprehend him , however it had always ended in futility as he was always a step ahead of them . The bounty on his head reached a level that was typically seen on Ascendancy realm pirates and that was when he was just at the intermediate stage of the Journeyman realm yet even at that it remained unclaimed due to the uncanny ways he always evaded capture .
Now a teenager whose chin hair had not even thought of sprouting successfully killed him this was bonkers , if not for the ship's video logs serving as evidence they would have totally refused to believe that such happened even if they were about to be killed. Something that they the elite CEA's corps couldn't achieve ,that countless Ascendancy realm ability users failed at was achieved by a young brat ? Simply unagreeable , but then they could not do anything about it as the evidence was there for all to see .
Currently the CEA pirate exterminating corps were already in charge of the scene , they were in charge of clean up and conducting investigation , the place we're the battle was held was under their tight control . The battleships they fielded were enough to make clear how powerful they were as they were of the latest models employing the latest technologies . Comprising of about twenty ship's you would have thought that they were about to go to the battlefield, yet they were just a miniscule representative of the power of the CEA .
Right now an interrogation was ongoing ,well not an interrogation per se but more like a question and answer session on the main ship of the CEA corps. The people being questioned were obviously the survivors of the pirate raid while the surviving pirates were already locked up .
You might be wondering , how was there still any surviving pirate , right ? Well the Floating Lily was not fully automatic as it still required some level of manual control thus there were still some non-combatant pirate crew members on the Floating Lily thus they were caught unawares when they were apprehended by the CEA's pirate exterminating corps.
In the questioning room the amoured figure of a man could be seen sitting on a levitating chair the helmet of his battle suit was retracted presenting a face marked with various scars , testaments to his many battles ,his arms were folded over his chest with a poker expression on his face . He was the commander of this pirate exterminating corps mission Zhang Dashang .
Opposite him sat Dongfan Yue who was currently sitting back relaxed on his own chair , he had changed his clothes and was looking energetic again , the tiredness from the previous fight gone already ,his eyes shone with a sharp glint like someone who just won the lottery .
Looking at this Dongfan boy , Zhang could not possibly phantom how on Earth he could have possibly killed Flapjack . According to him he was not even a Journeyman ability user yet he was able to do what stumped countless Ascendancy realm ability users .
" There must definitely be more than meets the eye with this brat , I wonder if he is a member of one of those big families . " Just then Dongfan Yue spoke.
" Soooo ,I heard that there is a bounty reward you guys placed on Flapjack's head if he's captured right ?"
" Yes ."
Continuing from where he stopped ;" Okay then ,am I eligible to receive it since I did not capture him but killed him ? "
Immediately he said that Zhang Dashang rescinded the idea that he was from any influential family . Yes the bounty on Flapjack's head was quite huge totalling about twenty million star credits,however this was just a paltry sum in the eyes of most ability users talk less of those big families this sum was not even close to the amount they spent casually per day on some random stuff . Maybe he was not from a galactic family, he was probably mistaken he thought .
"Why yes of course , the bounty rewards are yours already , dead or alive the reason for the reward was to encourage people to put a stop to Flapjack's activities, so definitely the reward is your's . "
If not for how unsightly it would have been ,Dongfan Yue would have started jumping elatedly like a kid who was given a new toy , twenty million star credits ! That was a huge sum to him , he could probably do a lot with it , he was already forming a to-do list in his head when Zhang Dashang spoke again ;
" However , I would like to ask you some questions pertaining to the battle ,you wouldn't mind ,huh ?"
" Not at all commander Zhang , ask away. "
Replying Zhang Dashang with a smiling face Dongfan Yue sighed in his mind , concerning the CEA people asking questions he had already thought it through , it was inevitable as the way events unfolded was a tad bit illogical but he had a response which he and Cubey prepared just for this type of situation .
Narrating the whole story accirding to how he and Cubey planned ,he cleverly avoided the sensitive parts of the whole story only giving the most basic of information.
"Actually Dongfan Yue I was thinking, what is actually the nature of your ability as it simply defied logic , could you tell me , it is also a way of contributing to humanity as this might be new knowledge. "
" This is it , they still couldn't really do without asking well thank goodness I anticipated this ."
Practically replying to Zhang Dashang like he was reading a script which he was , he gave a story that was 'real' to him. He said that his ability was a kind of mutated eye laser ability that enabled him to launch strong attacks at the cost of his mental and and physical strength ,he said the super beam was a kind of one time ability , he gave out a bunch of random stuff and finally concluded it by saying
" The eye beam is still under observation currently so I don't really know it's nuances, am still kinda in the exploratory stage ,you know ."
" Alright Dongfan Yue thank you for your time ,the bounty rewards would be sent to your account, just leave your details you will soon be credited and don't worry about how you would get to your academy well cover that for you . "
" Thanks a lot . " Dongfan Yue said as he left the room .
As soon as Dongfan Yue left Zhang Dashang received a call request on his personal comms, accepting it a young man appeared on the holographic projection with his back facing Zhang Dashang .
" So did you get anything meaningful from him ?"
" No not really ,he was just going around in circles, I think he is hiding something ."
" Whatever it is it can't be something that unbelievable, however you can keep an eye on him just in case . The times are changing and we need to be prepared for any eventualities . I'll be going now ,report if there is anything else.
"Yes sir ." At this moment the young man turned to face Commander Zhang and shockingly his attire was that of a titled great general despite his young age .
As soon as the projection fizzled out commander Zhang looked at the seat where Dongfan Yue sat in while thinking ;" What could possibly make the general anxious ?"
