"Wha...what just happened Cubey ?" A shocked Dongfan Yue asked .
" That was you using your ability ! you see just like I told you previously, the myriad transformations cube is capable of allowing you to use any sort of ability that has probably ever existed as long as you can find the structural pattern of said ability .
These structural patterns can either be found through trial and error just like experimentation or simply by doing what I just did a while ago i.e deriving the structural pattern from observing an ability user in action. Furthermore since I am deriving the structural pattern there is a kind of upgrade effect on it thus the reason why your eye laser beam totally outclassed the pirate guy's."
With Cubey giving him this explanation he was finally able to understand what happened previously , honestly speaking the first time he discovered Cubey's existence he was very sure that he was given a basic run down of how the Rubik's cube worked but he was too engrossed in the pocket dimension and the myriad transformations origin energy codex that he actually forgot to ask Cubey for a thorough clarification on the cube's functions .
Though it almost cost him his life , thankfully he was able to turn the situation a full three hundred and sixty degrees on it's head.
Right at this moment the headless body of the pirate fell down with a thud scaring the daylights out of him . He had totally forgotten about the body but know that he saw his hand work even he was shocked by how strong the laser beam was , there was no blood spilling from the neck stump as the extremely high temperatures of the beam cauterized it .
This sort of attacking power was something only an intermediate Journeyman realm ability user could achieve and yet he did it . For his attack to cause this degree of damage while he was not yet a Journeyman, he was full of expectation for when he actually became one .
Moving closer he was able to fully observe the armour worn by the pirate and the name shocked him , it was actually the Floating Lily buccaneers!
Even though this was the first time he was travelling in space the reputation of the Floating Lily pirates had reached his ears due to their horrifying deeds , virtually everyone in the Red giant star quadrant knew about them .
" This is going to be very troublesome , I don't know how the Happy Movers security personnel are faring against these vandals but I can probably guess that they are most likely being overwhelmed . "
Raising his head up like someone who was above the realm of mortals Dongfan Yue sighed an said ;" It seems that I can't escape this fate of always being a hero , the righteous indignation in my heart is burning through the skies , those bottom barrel pirates are the scum of the human race and it's everyone's duty to exterminate them ,I guess this is fate ."
Shaking it's non-existent head ( does a cube have a head ?) Cubey thought to itself ; " Shameless as hell ability user weren't you crying your pants out a moment ago , this speech of heroism and whatnot where was it then , humph !"
Obviously Dongfan Yue did not hear this as he knelt down near the dead pirate's body , rummaging through the body he was able to find an alloy sabre and a laser pistol , the dead pirate's battle armour would have been nice to wear as it could add an extra layer of defence but it was too heavy , furthermore he felt disgusted at the thought of wearing something a filthy pirate had worn .
As he was in the motions Cubey asked " Aren't you disgusted by the sight of the headless body ? Or .... is this not the first time you killed ?"
This question Cubey asked out of curiosity as he observed that Dongfan Yue was not repelled at all by the fact that he killed a person ,unless he was used to killing he should at least feel somewhat discomforted right ?
Huh huh , this is not the first time have killed ,actually I killed a lot of pigs back on Earth when I worked on old Gao's piggery ,so you could say that is the reason am not fazed ."

The first part of the sentence actually made sense but the remainder ? Pure nonsense ! How could butchering pigs be the same as killing a fully grown man , and it was his first time doing so too most people would have retched already but Dongfan Yue even have the guts to rummage through the corpse . Who does that ?
Finding nothing else that was valuable , Dongfan Yue made his way back to the ship's bridge .

Inside the bridge room
The bridge room of any ship was always designed with durability in mind as it was the centre of command and control when it's sealed off it is a pain in the ass to gain entry from the outside as the hatch was made of Derranium a super strong spacecraft alloy .
Technically you could detonate an entire truckload of TNT and the hatch would still be safe .
However this extremely resilient metal was already showing signs of melting , one had to know that the heat required to make the hatch glow red was in the range of over five thousand degrees Celsius !
For the door to melt the terrifying amount of heat required would surely be horrendous . There was no way a regular laser could achieve this and a ship's cannon would rather rip through it all thus there was only one obvious option left ; this was the doing of an ability user as it was only an ability user who could harness such terrible powers in a small sized body .
"Captain Miller the hatch is about to be breached and there is no signs of reinforcements coming soon , I think it is best to surrender to them ."
Currently the control room was about half full with both the ship's crew and some lucky passengers hiding there . The one who spoke now was the head guard of the Happy Movers shuttle .
" SURRENDER ! what do you mean by surrender , Kanoa ,you are supposed to be the protector of this ship as the head guard yet you are actually thinking of surrendering ."
" Captain they are the Floating Lily pirates willingly surrendering to them would give us a higher chance at survival , this is our only way out .
We fight till we die or reinforcements arrive ,I will not abandon my honour by surrendering to a pirate , if you have any thoughts keep it to YOURSELF !
Right then a sharp glint flashed in Kanuo's eyes but no one noticed .
CRASH...BAM
Right then the heavy alloy hatch crashed to the ground with a great thud , the thud was like a hammer striking on all their hearts as the next few moments would decide their fate .
Looking towards the bridge's entrance they all could see a gaint figure making his way inside . The rhythmic tap of his boots along with his fearsome physique magnified the tension in the atmosphere .
Who could it be if not Captain Flapjack , the terrifying flames which decimated the door was from him as his ability was a fire type ability , furthermore he was at the peak of the Journeyman realm and was just a few steps away towards breaking through to the next realm ; Ascendancy realm .
Right then Kanoa actually moved to stay by Captain Flapjack's side.
With a face showing understanding Captain Miller agitatedly said " I knew it there definitely had to be a traitor among us for us to be ambushed , never knew that it was you ."
"Well done , Kanuo you've done an excellent job , but I believe this is where we end our partnership. "
" What do you mean ?"
With a sinister smile on his face Flapjack replied " I don't need you anymore ."
" No you can't do this to me ,we had an agreement , you promised to.... AAARGH"
Wa the last thing he said as he was burnt to a crisp by Flapjack.
Turning to Captain Miller he smiled while saying ;" it hurts when one of your own turns against you right but then I helped to get rid of a hidden danger , so are you going to surrender or you want to do it the hard way ? "
" I will never surrender to a scum like you , all ability users let's charge against him , our reinforcements are on their way ."
" My ,my I gave you a way out but you refused , I tried being good but you just had to refuse , well boys seems like it's time for another round of slaughter , kill em all ."
" Yes Captain" replied the already frenzied pirates, they were already waiting for the order to kill till it became an unbearable itch , with Flapjack's order it gave them immesurable relief.
Soon the only sounds coming from the room was that of battle .
