Chapter 1 - The wake up dream

The morning sun filtered through the ornate stained glass windows, casting an ethereal glow upon the opulent kitchen. I woke with a start, disoriented and groggy, as if I had stumbled into a dream. The air was thick with the scent of freshly brewed coffee and the faint aroma of pastries.

I found myself standing in the center of the room, surrounded by a lavish display of luxury. High-end materials like marble countertops and gold fixtures adorned every surface, creating a sense of grandeur that was both awe-inspiring and intimidating. The space was vast, offering ample room for both cooking and entertaining guests. Every detail was meticulously crafted, from the custom cabinetry to the designer lighting, reflecting the owner's impeccable taste and discerning eye.

The kitchen was more than just a place to prepare meals; it was a sanctuary of indulgence, a symbol of wealth and success. I felt a pang of unease as I realized that I was not in my own home. Where was I? Who was I? And how had I ended up in such a lavish and unfamiliar place?

Brother: "Qi Qi, what are you doing up so early? Making breakfast? "

Qiqi gasped, startled by the unexpected presence. A man in his early thirties stood behind her, his handsome features illuminated by the morning sunlight. He was a stranger, yet something about him felt familiar.

"Who are you?" Qiqi asked, her voice trembling slightly. "Why are you here?"

Chen Kai felt a pang of guilt as he watched his sister, who had just arrived from China. She looked exhausted, and he couldn't bring himself to talk to her. Qiqi had been alone in China for the past two years, grieving the loss of their parents. Kai regretted not bringing her to America sooner.

He knew she must be feeling lonely and angry with him, but he was too busy with work to realize how much she needed him. As he watched her sleep, he vowed to make sure she felt loved and supported from now on.

"Qiqi," he whispered softly, "I'm your brother."

Qiqi's eyes widened in shock as a wave of memories washed over her. She remembered her previous life, the pain of her death, and the strange sensation of waking up in this new body. She was a quick thinker, even in her previous life, and she immediately calculated the situation.

"Oh, it's you!" she replied, her voice calm and collected. "I thought you were someone else. I was just making breakfast for myself."

Qiqi's response was polite and evasive, as she was unsure of the man's intentions. She avoided mentioning her name or revealing any personal information, hoping to buy herself some time to figure out what was happening.

Kai smiled brightly. "Let's go shopping! You don't have any clothes for college, do you? We can go out this evening and take a leave tomorrow. We could even take my kids along and have dinner at a restaurant. What do you think?"

Qiqi:Okay.

Kai explained, "My wife is out shooting a movie. My twin daughters, Ava and Mia, are in the eighth grade, and my son is asleep. He's three years old."

Kai continued, "Oh, and about your college. I've already taken care of that. I've enrolled you in a prestigious university in the city. You can start classes next week. I have to go to my company now, but we can talk more about it later."

Qiqi smiled, her heart warmed by Kai's kindness. Yet, a sense of unease lingered, a complication arising from the newfound intimacy between them.

After Kai left, Qiqi sat down on the bed, her mind racing. She tried to sort through the jumbled memories that were flooding her mind. The sensation of dying, the strange feeling of waking up in a new body, the unfamiliar surroundings of her brother's home - it all felt surreal.

A robotic voice echoed through the room, [ System is ready For you.Check your status].

Qiqi's eyes widened in alarm as she recognized the unfamiliar voice. She glanced around, her heart pounding in her chest. "What was that?" she whispered, her voice barely audible. "Is someone else here?"

As she searched for the source of the sound, she noticed a faint glow emanating from the computer screen. A chill ran down her spine as she realized the computer was on.

She closed her eyes and tried to focus on the most important details. She remembered the robotic voice that had echoed through the room, the strange glow emanating from the computer, and the feeling of being watched. Something was definitely amiss.

Qiqi's intuition told her that she was not alone in this new world. There were others who knew about her situation, others who were watching her every move. She had to be careful. She couldn't let anyone know that she was aware of her past life or her current predicament.
