It was evening and Eleanor just walked through the front door, her arms filled with shopping bags. She had been awaiting this moment all day, knowing that she would have to face Nathaniel eventually.
As she entered the sitting room, she saw Nathaniel sitting on the couch, his eyes fixed intently on her. He looked scary, his face dark and foreboding. How did he get out? That was quick. She knew that he would be out by the time she would get back, but she didn't expect him to still be home. Is he still expecting from her?
Eleanor tried to avoid him, attempting to slip past him and into the safety of her bedroom. But Nathaniel was too quick. He stood up, his long strides easily catching up to her. What? What is happening?
"Where do you think you're going?" he growled, his voice low and menacing. It sent a shiver through her whole body, his voice was so threatening to the extent that the air on her body rose.
