Walls bent at unnatural angles, and the floor beneath his feet seemed to shift like liquid stone. The air carried an oppressive weight, making each breath feel like a battle.
"This isn't right," Seraphine murmured, her grip on her staff tightening.
"It's an illusion," Aylara said, her sharp eyes scanning the distorted surroundings. "Or something worse."
