A chill settled over Valen as they reached the surface, each of them lost in their own thoughts. He knew they needed answers, and fast. The cryptic warning was more than an isolated threat—it pointed to something larger, something the Black Vow might be on the verge of unleashing.
Once they'd returned to the base and caught their breath, Valen gathered the group, casting a glance around the room at each of his allies.
"Whatever we encountered down there," he began, "was far beyond what we've dealt with before. The Black Vow's ritual was only the beginning, and if they continue, they'll weaken the seals holding back these entities."
