Chapter 37 - In face of Death Again

"Who informed you that you are dying right now?" Hector was taken aback by her

statement. Before he could fully comprehend the situation, a pill . was hurled in his direction. "Take that for your injuries, and begin revealing the details about your secret boy. Before I handle you over to those old fools."

As Hector placed the pill in his mouth, he was amazed to feel his wounds begin to heal almost instantly. It was as if the very essence of the pill was working wonders on his body. Once his injuries had fully mended, he couldn't help but marvel at the rapid recovery he had just experienced. Both of his broken bones were now completely healed, and he realized he must have taken a high-grade pill.

This revelation sent his mind racing, especially as he became acutely aware of the person standing before him—someone he definitely could not afford to underestimate at all.

While he was still contemplating his next move to escape this precarious situation, he suddenly heard her voice again, sharp and commanding. "Brat, what are you waiting for? Start spilling everything!"

Hector looked up to see her figure hovering above him. He was struck by her beauty; she appeared to be in her twenties, with a stunning face and captivating brown eyes that were now fixed on him with a look of disdain.

Despite her seemingly innocent appearance, there was an undeniable aura of betrayal surrounding her. His instincts screamed at him to tread carefully around her, reminding him that appearances can be deceiving.Hector's mind was urging him to exercise caution in the presence of the individual before him. His numerous encounters with powerful beings had make him cultivated a heightened awareness of them.

This marked the first occasion on which he had the opportunity to engage with a blessed , espertially one who can travel in air. Consequently, Hector found himself contemplating the veracity of the beliefs he had held regarding such beings.

Despite having previously defected the man who had confronted him, Hector's keen observational skills revealed that the man was significantly stronger than he had initially presented. This realization elucidated the rationale behind Hector swift actions, which left little room for the man to react or formulate a response.

Hector astutely recognized the man's initial misstep and seized the opportunity to capitalize on it, aiming to conclude the encounter decisively.

As he gazed at her without trepidation, Hector responded to the her with a composed demeanor, even as his mind raced to devise a strategy for extricating himself from the precarious situation in which he found himself.

"I do not possess any secrets," he stated. She , visibly agitated, retorted, "What do you mean by claiming you have no secrets? How can you possibly describe the act of killing a blessed with same strength of core formation realm by a mere body strength cultivator?"

Look at him with an angry face.

Brat, you think I'm here for a joke? Start spilling, or I have to do it my own way.

Hector, knowing he doesn't have any means to escape this dire situation, starts thinking fast about what he should do.

Looking up to her. But wasn't him your acquaintance? how did you allow me to kill him?

Boy, I don't have anything to do with that idiot person. For your information, Booty has been on your head. I was also looking for you and eventually saw both of you interacting, but initially, I wanted to see how he would deal with you, but you surprised me, so start spilling. Not wanting to give him chance to say anything else

As she start descending gracefully from above, she reached out as if to touch his forehead, a gesture that seemed both comforting and ominous.

Sensing her intentions, Hector instinctively drew his sword, ready to defend himself. But as he launched his attack, she effortlessly raised her hands, and in an instant, he was sent flying backward, the force of her power overwhelming him.It appears that I have been rather lenient with you, brat, and you seem to be taking full advantage of my patience.

In an instant, she unleashed her energy towards him, and Hector was forcefully slammed to the ground, blood oozing from his mouth, ears, and nose. The excruciating pain coursed through him as his bones began to fracture once more.

With a loud cry of agony, Hector reached for his spatial ring, desperation fueling his actions. In a flash, he activated the teleportation talisman, and just like that, he vanished from her sight.

She was momentarily taken aback, astonished by his sudden disappearance. Scanning the area, she searched for any sign of where he might have gone. Though surprised, she reassured herself that the teleportation talisman wouldn't have taken him too far. Channeling her Celestine energy, she extended her senses fifty kilometers away, only to be met with the shocking realization that he was nowhere to be found. A smile crept across her face, a mix of intrigue and excitement.

"Interesting brat," she mused, her confidence unwavering. "Let me play this game with you, boy. I'm coming for you.In an instant, she vanished from her initial position.

Several kilometers away, in the town of Nicolas, Hector appeared, bloodied and battered. Without hesitation, he retrieved a pill from his spatial ring and consumed it.

Within moments, he felt the remarkable effects as his body began to heal, returning to its normal state. Once he was fully restored, Hector wasted no time; he knew the woman who had attacked him would be searching for him. She was truly unhinged.

If it weren't for the talismans gifted to me by my loyal slave, I would have been a goner. I owe her a debt of gratitude for the protection those items provided. But make no mistake, that woman will pay for her audacity. She will surely pay for what she did to me I will come for you bitch .

With a determined resolve, Hector activated his movement technique, rendering himself invisible as he entered the town. He swiftly made his way to the Shadow Blade headquarters, his heart racing with purpose. Upon reaching Selene's office, he found her engrossed in her documents, completely unaware of his presence. He took a seat directly across from her, and as he did, she finally looked up, her eyes narrowing with suspicion.

"Reveal yourself," she commanded, her gaze piercing through the air like a blade.

Ah, so you were able to notice my presence. Quite intriguing. However, had I truly been after your life, I would have taken it without you even realizing. As she gazed at the figure seated before her, a wave of surprise washed over her. "Hector, you're back!" she exclaimed, momentarily taken aback.

Regaining her composure, she continued, "Who told you that this would be possible? It seems you are overestimating your stealth techniques." Not wanting to dwell too long on the matter, she inquired with a playful smirk, "Did you fail the mission?"

Hector responded with a grin, tossing a round golden pendant in her direction. Her eyes widened in astonishment as she recognized its significance. Instantly, her demeanor shifted. "Hector, did you seriously undertake that mission? That was a suicidal endeavor! Did you not hear the warnings circulating in town before you embarked on it?"

Hector erupted into laughter, his amusement evident. "Aren't you the one who assigned me the mission?"

"Yes, I did," she replied, her tone shifting slightly. "But I never anticipated you would actually go through with it. That was merely a test to assess your observational skills and ability to gather information. I expected you to return and report back to me.She shook her head in disbelief, pondering the situation. "How is it that you returned alive?" A mysterious smile played on his lips as he added, "That really shouldn't concern you." With a sense of determination, he declared, "I am prepared for the main examination." Once again, she shook her head, clearly impressed. "You, my boy, are truly something special." As she spoke, she handed him a pendant adorned with the words "Five Star" engraved upon it. "There's no need for any further examination, young man you have proven yourself .
