"What the fuck! How does that bitch have the nerve to steal my beloved Suzuki from me!"
"C-calm down a bit, Miyoko. All this stress is so not good for your skin."
"Not to mention you're being really loud. Someone might hear you."
"I don't care about any of that! This is all that damn bitch's fault. I swear to god, I'm gonna make her pay."
Make her pay for what? Inoue didn't exactly do anything to deserve this kind of smack talk. If anything, shouldn't she be angry at Suzuki? This kind of backwards logic is why I don't think Miyoko would be a good member of society in the future.
I honestly don't want to spend another second crouching down and listening to this crap. But Kurebayashi and Asamura seem fixated on it. Plus, Kureayashi is gripping my sleeve so tight that I don't think I can stand even if I wanted to. So there's not much I can do except continue to tune in on the three girls.
"I-it's not like it's confirmed or anything. After All, it's just a rumor. Right, Karerin?"
"Yeah, and this is Suzuki-kun we're talking about. He's too much of a baseball junky that a girlfriend is out of the question for him."
After one of the girls said this, another loud clang of metal reverberated throughout the area. Several seconds later, a metal trash can came crashing down just a few meters from where we were crouching. This caused Asamura to lose her balance and fall flat on her butt.
All three of us look at the abused trash can and see a large dent on the side of it. Asamura points a finger at it and looks me dead in the eyes with an expression that seems to say "What the heck is that? How did she even do that?!" Yep, my thoughts exactly.
"Would the both of you just shut up! I know it's true! I've seen the way Suzuki looks at that whore. I've caught him staring longingly at her like a lost puppy. That bitch probably spread her legs and seduced him."
"I don't think that's the case…"
"Geez Miyoko, chill out…"
The other two girls are noticeably more soft spoken now. Clearly, they're becoming more and more uncomfortable with the situation. Or maybe it's more appropriate to say that they're starting to get scared of her. And who could blame them? If I were in their position, I'd probably fake a heart attack and just lie down on the ground.
"That whore stole him from me. And he had the balls to choose her over me? Was I not enough for him?! I did everything to make him notice me! TO LOOK AT ME!"
As she says that, we hear a massive thud and the wooden wall we're hiding behind shakes violently. Both Asamura and Kurebayashi stumble and fall backwards onto me, leaving all three of us on the ground.
You often see this kind of thing in anime and manga. The main character accidentally gets squished by a cute girl and they somehow end up in an erotic position. In reality though, there's nothing cute or erotic about this. Both of them on top of me actually took all the wind out of my lungs. I also think my ribs are close to cracking. Thankfully, it doesn't last long as they both clear off of me and help me back up.
"I'm gonna make her pay. I'll make her life a living hell. No one can have Suzuki. He's mine and mine alone."
With that ominous declaration, the three girls start to leave. After making sure we couldn't hear their footsteps anymore, we all sighed in relief and went back to our lunch spot.
"That was intense! My knees were legit shaking the entire time. I really had no idea Miyoko-senpai was like that."
"Yeah… I've dealt with her firsthand before. But now, she seems even more unhinged."
"It would appear so. And her last statement is deeply concerning. We should warn Suzuki-senpai and Inoue-senpai of this straight away."
"Mmm! I'll tell Daiki to send Suzuki-senpai a text once we get back to class."
At the mention of his name, Kurebayashi immediately stiffens up. So, even just alluding to him is enough to make her uncomfortable. I don't know why, but I feel compelled to change the subject.
"Anyway, we should eat up now. I'm starving."
"Oh right, let me see what time it is… What?! Look at the time! Come on, we should hurry up and get back to class!"
No way, right? It feels like only a few minutes have gone by! I take out my phone to confirm and see that there's only ten minutes of lunch time left.
"How unfortunate… We could not enjoy our lunch together."
"Don't sweat it, Reina-chan! We could have lunch again tomorrow! Right, Sugiyama-kun?"
"Why are you asking me? And why does it feel like a decision has already been made even before I could answer?"
"Hehe! It's good that you're catching on quickly."
Give me a break, man! At least let me have one day all to myself!
