"Good morning Ladies, you are welcome to the Lakeside hotel. I'm Harry, the manager of this hotel. Shortly, each of you will be called in to meet with the HR team and the CEO. "Thank you all," he said as he walked out of the hall.
Shortly afterwards, at exactly 10:am they began calling each applicant into the CEO's office.
There were seven applicants in the hall, and Ella made the number seventh list.
So, each applicant was called into the office, with 15 minutes each with the CEO for the interview.
After going through their CVs with them, the CEO said he Will get back to them.
When it was Ella's turn, immediately she stepped into the office, the atmosphere changed. Positivity could be felt in the office.
"Please take a seat", the manager said to her, while Roy K stared at her in amazement of her beauty and charisma.
Ella maintained her comportment while she took her seat.
"Having gone through your CV, you seem qualified for this job. Can you really handle the position of a secretary in this establishment?". Roy K asked her. "Yes sir, I can. She answered with a smile on her face. "I have handled administrative roles in times past, and I believe I can take up this too sir"
"Here is different. I hope you up your game when this opportunity is given to you. I will review your progress from time to time, to be sure you can function well in that position. I do not condone any form of insubordination, or bad energy at work," said Roy K.
Ella was already feeling tensed by his tone of speaking. She thought to herself, "Is this not the same man that spoke calmly from the beginning? Well, I will just do my job diligently when granted the privilege"
"I think we should give her the job. Roy k said to Harry. "I think so too boss. Let's give her a try, said Harry. Although he was not too comfortable with Ella, he had no choice but to comply with his boss.
"Mr Harry will work you through the policies of this establishment. Note: he has the authority to fire any staff that do not meet up with the company's standards" Roy k said to Ella.
"So, you can resume tomorrow, 8:am prompt.
"Congratulations Ms Ella"
" Thank you very much sir", Ella said as she happily walked out of the office to go share the good news with her Aunt, Mrs Katherine. "Ma'am, I got the job… Ella screamed immediately as she got into the house, hugging Mrs Katherine so tight out of joy of being offered a job.
"Wow!! A big congratulations my dear" Mrs Katherine said to Ella.
Meanwhile, Jakes had concluded plans to go into Miami city to look for Ella for his selfish and wicked reasons. "I will get into that City, find Ella then get her back to myself. If I don't have her, nobody else will. She's mine!" He selfishly thought to himself.
All things were set for Ella to resume work. She was gorgeously dressed in a black pants trousers and a baby pink shirt, complemented with a black heel pair of shoes.
Ella got to work early enough, went straight to her office, the reception to begin her task for the day. Just then, Harry walked towards her. "Hello Ella, trust you are good today?" I would want you to go through this document then write me a report at the end of the day, okay?"
Y-yes sir" she replied.
Harry walked away from her to his office as he harbored these bad thoughts in his heart: "let's see how you will outdo yourself . I must see that you don't last long in this establishment"
Afterwards, Roy K walked into the reception with his stern looking face towards his office.
"Good morning sir, you are welcome" Ella greeted with an Angelic smile on her face.

No! No!! No!!! " I am Roy K, the billionaire CEO. I can't stoop so low to that level. She's just my staff, a regular girl on the street. Roy K tries to deny a feeling that's developing from inside.
Jakes had made an arrangement with an agent of where to stay when he moved into the city.
He already had 'not too detailed' information of Ella's location, but was sure of finding her no matter how long.
All was rosy with Ella at Lakeside hotel for the past one month. Despite the Manager's negativities towards her, her professionalism, positive vibes and good deeds continued to stand her out.
An event happened at the hotel that turned out unpleasant for Ella.
"Hello Ms Ella. I have a business meeting with some clients in two days. Prepare the schedule and set a reminder for the meeting" Mr Roy K said to Ella.
" Yes sir. This is well noted" Ella responded.
Unfortunately for Ella, she forgot to set a reminder for the meeting as instructed by her boss, because of the work load on her.
The meeting day came and Roy K wasn't available at the office because he wasn't reminded by Ella.
Some men walked into the reception, towards Ella.
"Good day ma'am. We are representatives from New world resorts. We have a scheduled meeting with Mr Roy today. Kindly notify him of our arrival. Thank you". One of the men said to her..
"Ohhh y-yes! yes!! Sure. I will inform Mr Roy that you are here now. Although he's not around at the moment, but he will be with you shortly". Ella said to them, while her voice quavered because she had failed to remind her boss of the meeting.
"Wha- what have I done to myself? Why would I have forgotten to remind my boss of today's meeting? Ella thought to herself as she was shivering, not knowing what to expect from her boss. She picked up her phone to call Roy K.
"Hel-hello sir.. I-i-i am very sorry sir, I forgot to remind you of today's meeting with your clients." They are already here sir" Ella's heart was already pounding, her palms sweating because of anxiety.
"What!!! Roy K shouted on top of his voice over the phone. "You are so incompetent and not worthy to be called my staff. Just a simple task, you couldn't perform?" Roy K shouted at Ella.
"I will be at the office shortly, but make sure you see me after the meeting with my clients today. Is that clear?" Ye-yes sir" Ella responded.
A while later, Roy K arrived at his hotel in his black SUV from a 'not too important gathering' of friends.
When he entered the reception where the clients were waiting, the angry look he gave to Ella almost made her want to disappear into thin air.
"Hello gentlemen.. he shook hands with them.
"I am so sorry for the delay" he said as he led them to his office.
After two hours thirty minutes of a closed door meeting, they were done and the clients left.
Immediately, a call came in through the manager to Ella. "Hello Ella, Mr Roy needs your attention in his office now!!

At this point, Ella's heart was pounding heavily and was disturbed because of the Manager's tone over the phone. Many thoughts ran through her head as she walked towards Roy K's office.
