Chapter 33 - CHAPTER 33: MC Vs PROTAGONIST

The air was electric with tension as Kaiden and Eryndor faced off in the dueling arena. The students watched in silence, their eyes fixed on the two mages as they circled each other, sizing each other up.

Without warning, Kaiden darted forward, his fists flying in a flurry of punches. Eryndor, seemingly unfazed, raised his hands to defend himself. The two mages clashed, their fists flying as they exchanged blows.

"Whoa, they're starting with hand-to-hand!" one student exclaimed, his eyes wide with excitement.

"I know, right? I didn't expect that!" another student replied, her voice rising in enthusiasm.

Eryndor's eyes narrowed, his face a mask of calm, as he countered Kaiden's attack with a swift kick. Kaiden dodged the kick with ease, his agility and quick reflexes allowing him to avoid the blow.

Kaiden retaliated with a series of rapid-fire punches, each one landing with precision and force. Eryndor stumbled backward, his eyes flashing with a hint of surprise, but he quickly recovered, his movements becoming more fluid and precise.

The battle raged on, the two mages exchanging blows and showcasing their physical skills. The students watched in awe, their voices rising in cheers and chants.

"Kaiden's got some sweet moves!" one student shouted, his voice echoing through the arena.

"Yeah, but Eryndor's not going down without a fight!" another student replied, her eyes fixed on the battle.

As the fight continued, Kaiden landed a lucky blow, his fist connecting with Eryndor's jaw. Eryndor's head snapped back, but he quickly recovered, his eyes flashing with a hint of determination.

Eryndor countered with a powerful blow, his fist connecting with Kaiden's stomach. Kaiden doubled over, gasping for breath, but he refused to back down.

The battle raged on, the two mages giving it their all. The students watched in awe, their voices rising in cheers and chants.

Instructor Thrain watched the battle with a keen eye, his face a mask of calm. He seemed to be enjoying the show, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

But as the fight wore on, it became clear that this was only the beginning. The real battle was yet to come, and it would be a clash of magic unlike anything the students had ever seen.

Kaiden and Eryndor were evenly matched, their skills honed from years of training. But as the battle raged on, it became clear that one of them would eventually gain the upper hand.

The question was, who would it be?

As the hand-to-hand combat continued, Kaiden and Eryndor began to transition into their magical abilities. They circled each other, their eyes locked in a fierce stare.

"You're quite skilled in hand-to-hand, Kaiden," Eryndor said, his voice calm and collected. "But let's see how you fare against my magic."

Kaiden smiled, his eyes flashing with a hint of excitement. "I've been waiting for this moment, Eryndor. Bring it on!"

With a flick of his wrist, Eryndor summoned a Fireball, the flames erupting from his palm. Kaiden raised his hands, and a gentle breeze blew, dispersing the flames.

"Not bad, Eryndor," Kaiden said, his voice laced with respect. "But I've got a few tricks up my sleeve too."

Kaiden summoned a burst of light elemental magic, the energy swirling around him. He launched himself at Eryndor, the light magic propelling him forward.

Eryndor raised his hand, and a Shield of Light materialized, protecting him from the attack. The shield glowed with a soft, white light, reducing the damage by 50%.

"Nice shield, Eryndor," Kaiden said, his eyes narrowing in concentration. "But I'm not going to let up yet."

Kaiden launched a series of quick, precise attacks, his light magic propelling him forward. Eryndor countered with his Fireball spell, the flames erupting from his palm.

The two mages clashed, their magic swirling around them. The arena was filled with the sound of crackling energy, the air electric with tension.

As the battle raged on, Eryndor began to use his Healing Touch magic, his hands glowing with a soft, golden light. He touched his own wounds, the magic healing his injuries.

Instructor Thrain's eyes sparkled with interest, his face a mask of calm. "Ah, Eryndor's showing off his versatility," he said, his voice low and thoughtful.

The students' looked at instructor Thrain , and looked back at Eryndor and the gasped in amazement as Eryndor began to use his Healing Touch magic. His hands glowed with a soft, golden light as he touched his own wounds, the magic healing his injuries.

Lila's eyes widened in surprise, her admiration for Eryndor growing. She couldn't help but feel drawn to him, her heart beating faster as she watched him continue to battle Kaiden. "Wow, he's a skilled fighter and a healer too?" she thought to herself.

"Come on Kaiden ! You can do it" she shouted cheering kaiden.

Aria's eyes lit up with a competitive spark.

Lyra's eyes narrowed as she watched Eryndor use his Healing Touch magic. She couldn't help but feel a hint of interest in him, her mind racing with thoughts of his potential. 'You sure are interesting, Eryndor,' she thought to herself, her eyes fixed on him as he continued to battle Kaiden.

Astrid's face was a mask of calm, her eyes fixed on the battle unfolding before her. She watched with a critical eye, her mind analyzing every move Eryndor and Kaiden made. "Eryndor's strategy is impressive," she thought to herself, her respect for him growing with every passing moment.

As the battle continued, the students' reactions only grew more intense. They cheered and chanted, their voices ringing out across the arena. The air was electric with tension, the outcome of the battle far from certain.

But one thing was clear: Eryndor's use of Healing Touch magic had changed the game. Kaiden's eyes narrowed in concentration, his determination to win growing with every passing moment. The battle was far from over, and only time would tell who would emerge victorious. The question was, who would be the last one standing?

Kaiden's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly recovered. "You're a tricky one, Eryndor," he said, his voice laced with admiration. "But I'm not going to let you get the upper hand."

Kaiden launched a powerful blast of light magic, the energy propelling him forward. Eryndor raised his Shield of Light, the magic absorbing the impact. The shield glowed with a soft, white light, reducing the damage by 50%.

The force of the blast sent Eryndor stumbling backward, his feet scraping against the stone floor of the arena. He regained his balance quickly, his eyes flashing with determination.

Eryndor countered with a wave of fire magic, the flames erupting from his palm like a living thing. The fire danced and swirled, its tendrils reaching out like grasping fingers.

Kaiden raised his hands, summoning a burst of air magic to deflect the flames. The air magic howled and buffeted the fire, sending it swirling back towards Eryndor.

Eryndor leapt to the side, avoiding the flames by a hair's breadth. He landed lightly on the balls of his feet, his eyes never leaving Kaiden's face.

The two mages clashed, their magic swirling around them. The arena was filled with the sound of crackling energy, the air electric with tension.

Kaiden launched a series of quick, precise attacks, his light magic propelling him forward. Eryndor countered with his Fireball spell, the flames erupting from his palm.

The two mages exchanged blows, their magic clashing in a spectacular display of color and energy. The students watched in awe, their voices rising in cheers and chants.

Instructor Thrain's eyes sparkled with excitement, his face a mask of calm. "This is it".

As the fight continued, Eryndor began to gain the upper hand. His fire magic was proving to be too powerful for Kaiden to handle, and the latter was starting to tire.

Kaiden's eyes flashed with determination as he launched a final attack. Eryndor raised his hands, summoning a powerful blast of fire magic that engulfed Kaiden.

The arena fell silent, the students holding their breath as they waited for the outcome. And then, in a flash of light, it was over.

Kaiden stumbled outside the podium, his eyes wide with exhaustion. Eryndor stood tall, his chest heaving with exertion.

Instructor Thrain's eyes sparkled with excitement as he watched the two mages face off. He had seen many duels in his years as an instructor, but this one was something special. The skill and determination of both Kaiden and Eryndor was impressive, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in his students.

As the fight came to an end, Instructor Thrain stepped forward, a smile on his face. "And the winner of this duel is... Eryndor Thorne!" he declared, his voice booming across the sport field.
