The cafeteria erupted into chaos as the magic attack hurtled towards Eryndor. But in a flash of movement, he raised his hand, and a shimmering shield of light erupted from his palm. The shield glowed with a soft, blue light, and it seemed to pulse with a gentle, magical energy.
The incoming magic attack hit the shield with incredible force, but Eryndor's magic held strong. The shield glowed brighter, absorbing the energy of the attack, and then it slowly dissipated, leaving Eryndor standing unscathed.
The cafeteria fell silent, the students staring at Eryndor in shock and amazement. Not a single hair on his head was out of place, and his clothes were untouched by the magic. It was as if the attack had never happened.
The students began to murmur among themselves, their voices filled with a mix of awe and fear. "How did he do that?" someone whispered. "I've never seen anyone block a magic attack like that before."
As the students continued to murmur, a sudden, imposing aura descended upon them. The air seemed to grow thick and heavy, and the students felt a sense of unease wash over them.
They turned to see a tall, imposing man with dark hair standing at the entrance of the cafeteria. His eyes seemed to bore into the souls of the students, and his presence was like a dark cloud that had suddenly appeared on a sunny day.
"Ah, Professor Darkshadow," one of the students whispered, their voice trembling with fear.
The imposing man, Professor Kael Darkshadow, was the head of the Shadow Magic department. He was known for his strict and intimidating demeanor, and his presence was always accompanied by an aura of fear and respect.
Professor Darkshadow's eyes scanned the room, his gaze lingering on each student before finally coming to rest on Eryndor. His expression was unreadable, but his eyes seemed to gleam with interest.
"Detain the students who were involved in this incident," he said, his voice low and commanding. "I will speak with them later."
The students who had been involved in the fight were quickly rounded up and led away by Professor Darkshadow's assistants. The rest of the students were left to wonder what would happen next.
As the students began to disperse, a student with spiky blond hair approached Eryndor. "Wow, that was really cool," she said, her voice filled with admiration and a little excitement as her face was little close to Eryndor. She was Lyra Flynn, a first-year student known for her mischievous grin and love of pranks.
Eryndor blushed, feeling a sense of embarrassment. "I just did what anyone would have done in that situation," he said, trying to sound humble.
' This little brat, what does she want? Did she became curious about me ? ' Eryndor thought.
Lyra chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "I don't think so," she said. "I think you're being modest. But I'm glad you're okay. That was a pretty close call."
As they stood there, Lyra's gaze lingering on him, Eryndor felt a sense of awkwardness. He decided to break the silence, extending his hand. "I'm Eryndor Thorne, by the way."
Lyra shook it, her grip firm. "I'm Lyra Flynn," she replied. "Nice to meet you, Eryndor, I've never seen anyone block a magic attack like that before."
As they talked, the news of the incident began to spread like wildfire through the academy. Students gathered in small groups, whispering and pointing at Eryndor.
"Did you hear about at the cafeteria?" someone whispered.
" I heard students were fighting there and someone used a spell but it went out of control "
"I know, right?" another student replied. "I heard it was a really powerful spell, it must have been atleat B tier spell"
" I also heard that some guy blocked that spell attack wit ease"
"I'm not surprised," a third student said. "I've heard that some of the students in our year are really talented."
Alya was walking down the hallway when she overheard a group of students talking about the cafeteria incident.
"...and then he just raised his hand and blocked the attack with a shield of light," one of the students was saying. "It was so cool."
Alya's ears perked up at the mention of magic, and she stopped to listen in on the conversation.
"Who was it?" she asked one of the students.
"Eryndor ...something," the student replied. "I don't know much about him "
'Eryndor' ?
The rumors and speculation continued to spread, with some students even claiming that Eryndor was a prodigy or a genius.
Meanwhile, Professor Darkshadow's assistants were busy questioning the students who had been involved in the fight. They were trying to determine what had led to to the brawl and caused the magic attack.
" Professor i got what you wanted " An assistant said as he provided Professor Darkshadow' a piece of document.
Professor Darkshadow took the document and opened it and said " Eryndor Throne .. interesting "
As the day drew to a close, Eryndor couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He had never intended to draw attention to himself, but it seemed that he had become the center of attention.
He wondered what the next day would bring, and whether he would be able to navigate the complex web of alliances and rivalries that seemed to exist within the academy.
As he walked back to his dormitory, he noticed that the other students were staring at him. Some of them looked at him with admiration, while others seemed to regard him with suspicion.
Eryndor sighed, feeling a sense of frustration. He just wanted to blend in and not get noticed like a mob character , but it seemed that he had become a celebrity overnight.

"What took you so long" Cassius asked?
