He did not just say that.

She heard and understood it since her mind was as clear as the sky outside, with the stars and the moon shining brightly in the dark, cloudless night.
"I think you know what I'm saying, Saige." He closed his eyes, imagining as if nothing separated them.
It was as if time and space did not split them apart. He just wanted to be close to her, even if it was just for a moment.
If this would be the closest he could get to her, he would savor every second of it. If this would be the last time, he would cherish it so it would last for eternity.
"What do you want from me, Xavier?" She could feel her heart squeezing tightly inside her chest.
