At long last, tonight's event ended with every guest receiving another premium package courtesy of Vintage Cellar.
Just as Major Walker stood up and shook hands with Xander who was thanking him for his presence, Aurora finally appeared.
"Thank you, Major, for honouring my invitation this evening. I deeply appreciate your presence," she said with a pretty smile as she reached her delicate hand out for a handshake.
Major Walker firmly shook her hand with a polite smile, and as he withdrew his hand, Aurora's smile grew brighter.
"I'm going to start a foundation for abandoned children. And when that time comes to kick-start this project, I will need your support if you don't mind."
Xander almost snapped his gaze at her, hearing this surprising project he was only hearing for the first time. His gaze faltered as he smoothly glanced at her before directing his gaze back to the Major. And not even his expression shifted.
