Aurora wrapped her arms around his waist as he cradled her head with one hand.
"You are the most beautiful woman in my heart," Xander smiled as he held her close. Aurora's eyes turned to a crescent moon as they exchanged gazes and words in the beautiful silence that enveloped them.
Xander leaned in to capture her lips softly as his free hand sneaked inside her top. A giggle escaped Aurora's lips in between the kiss and Xander swallowed them all with a lingering smile on his lips.
Finally, when he released her lips, he looked her in the eyes and said, "I'm trying to get my proteins now. Can I?"
"You had a long day at work. Shouldn't you get some rest?" Although Aurora was trying to distract him and get him off her body, she was genuinely worried about him.
