Asher leaned away from the doorframe, his lips twitching in amusement as Abigail's brows furrowed. "My housekeeper cleaned you up after you threw up all over yourself earlier this morning," he explained, wiggling his eyebrows playfully. "I warned you about the drinks, didn't I?"
Abigail scowled at his teasing tone and reached for a pillow, clearly tempted to hurl it at him. She seemed ever-ready to throw things within her reach at him.
Sensing the impending attack, Asher raised his hands defensively. "Freshen up and come out for breakfast. Your new outfit is on its way," he added quickly, before stepping out of the room and shutting the door behind him.
As the soft thud echoed, Abigail let out a long sigh, her shoulders slumping in relief. She couldn't remember much from the previous night, but she was certain that her current situation was bound to be humiliating.
