Madelyn slightly opened her eyes, looking at her familiar room, and saw her white arms casually placed on the silk quilt.
She still felt a little sorry for Ellen, remembering that Edmund had said last night that Ellen had a stomachache because of the hot pot. After all, her intention had been to see him make a fool of himself, and she had not expected him to have a stomachache.
Madelyn sat up and realized that she hadn't been touched the night before. "Is it because so much has happened lately that God has taken pity on me?"
Madelyn got out of bed happily. It should be a good day, because from now on she wouldn't have to talk to that iceberg anymore. Her face was full of smiles at the thought.
Tina was woken up by the car horn outside. She opened her eyes and saw Joseph leaning on his chin and looking at her with an evil smile.
"Good morning, I didn't expect you to sleep so much!" said Joseph, looking at her.
