Chapter 17 - 003|Roses&truth(4)

Upon perusing Dong Yi's Weibo account, netizens have discovered that in many of his photos, there is a blooming rose displayed on his upper arm. Consequently, Dong Yi's comment section is filled with roses, and he has been dubbed the "Rose Dancer" by many.

Simultaneously, a continuous stream of accusations and revelations has made the case both clearer and more obscure, leading to numerous doubts. Questions arise such as:

—— Is Dong Yi's experience of campus bullying solely from teachers?

—— Why didn't Dong Yi resist bullying?

—— How did Liu Bi manage to become a university staff member through job applications and reviews?

—— These are all internal family matters; how will you face your parents and friends in the future?

—— Should the shady benefits chain between Liu Pi and Chen Jian be thoroughly investigated?

—— Can individuals who study art and have tattoos be considered reputable?

—— Besides those victims who have spoken out, how many silent victims are there? —— Regarding the harassment from Chen Jian, why are you only speaking up now? —— Are you conscience-stricken for riding the wave of a dead person's popularity? —— Is there any connection between performing artist Wang Shuo and the case? —— Aren't most artists in the world somewhat unconventional?

—— What is the truth behind the case?

—— When will the authorities release the details of the case?

Prof. Wang Shuo opened a Weibo account amidst widespread doubts and posted the following message:

Throughout my life in the performing arts, I have been worthy of the stage, of my heart, and of others, except for one thing - I am unworthy of myself and society. Allowing my son to use my name to invest in the 'Beyond Scenery training school is a mistake I regret. Although he was not involved in its management, he did have an acquaintance with Chen Jian. In my earlier years, I was engrossed in performing arts and teaching, neglecting to impart the importance of choosing friends and behaving properly to my child, a fault of mine. My son has voluntarily cooperated with the police investigation and I understand that no amount of apologies can undo what has happened, but I still want to apologize to the public.

Zhong Shao and Yu Cheng came across this post. The two sat on the couch, silent but sensing the unspoken implications. They also learned that Prof. Wang Shuo would resign from the Royal Academy of Performing Arts and the National Theater.

Zhong Shao sighed silently, "Prof. Wang has always felt indebted to Wang Jing."

"Indebted?" Yu Cheng was unaware of certain matters.

Zhong Shao nodded slightly, "Wang Jing lacked family companionship during his growing up, Prof. Wang was too immersed in his performing arts to be present at all important occasions before his son turned eighteen. Despite playing the roles in countless stories of reconciliation, he struggled to bridge the gap with his son. Perhaps this is his way of making amends to Wang Jing."

Apart from those involved, nobody knows if Wang Jing was involved in the series of events with Chen Jian and in what capacity. If he truly committed wrongdoing, legal consequences will follow. Prior to this, Prof. Wang Shuo made a decision regarding his past mistakes.

Yu Cheng remained silent for a moment, "A child raised in such a family, no matter how unruly, would have their own principles."

Wang Jing's mother was a highly acclaimed writer from the last century, raised in an affluent family. In the realm of art, she and Prof. Wang were soulmates, both deeply passionate about their careers. It was likely this similarity that made the young couple realise in their middle age the shortcomings in their child's upbringing and companionship within the family.

Zhong Shao showed a hint of approval in his eyes, with a tinge of contemplation. Both of them retweeted and commented on the Weibo post: "You will always be our Prof. Wang."

Setting aside his phone, Zhong Shao raised an eyebrow slightly, "One more round?"

The training on martial arts scenes for tonight had concluded, leaving them exhausted yet still wanting more.

"Alright," Yu Cheng stood up, stretching his muscles.

Zhong Shao couldn't help but smile faintly, his expression changing in an instant.

This was the second fight scene they had in their play.

In the pouring rain, Ji Chen gripped Yu Yue's collar, his eyes determined yet sincere. "Yu Yue, what's wrong with me liking you? My affection is genuine, devoid of any ulterior motives. Is there anything wrong with that? Where does it say in the interstellar laws that an Alpha cannot love another Alpha?" Releasing Yu Yue's collar, Ji Chen continued, but his words were drowned out by the rain, "If my feelings make you uncomfortable, I can..."

"I'll say it once, Ji Chen, listen carefully—" Yu Yue's eyes reflected Ji Chen's image, "Do you want me, or do you want me to give you a home?"

Stripped of all titles, they knew each other too well. Ji Chen drifted across various planets, and a stable family was his deepest desire.

With fiery eyes, Ji Chen threw a punch towards Yu Yue's chest. Reacting swiftly, Yu Yue blocked the punch and grabbed Ji Chen's wrist, but Ji Chen slipped out of the hold and kicked towards Yu Yue's groin.

Eyes blazing, Ji Chen attacked while shouting at Yu Yue, "Are you an idiot? I said my love is genuine, what does genuine mean, can't you understand? Yes, I've always wanted a home, but if that's all I wanted, I could find someone else. I want you, I want a home with both of us in it. Do you understand?"

Despite the heavy rain, Ji Chen's words hit Yu Yue like meteorites, causing him to pause, feeling the punch on his chest, his heart pounding deafeningly.

Surprised by Yu Yue taking his punch, Ji Chen also paused. At that moment, Yu Yue pulled Ji Chen close and kissed him.

Although Ji Chen often appeared cold, his actions and affections were indeed genuine. He was true to himself in everything, including loving someone. His clear conscience stemmed from countless confirmations within. On the other hand, despite his usual lively demeanour, he was a damn coward in this matter!

Due to the relevant regulations regarding minor issues in China, a shift was made in depicting the brotherly relationship with a different kind of tension, yet this adjustment did not hinder the progression of the plot.

Simultaneously, several leaked Weibo posts rapidly circulated online, elaborating on the same incident. It involved a fresh case of sexual harassment, intricately linked to Chen Jian – where Li Hengjie from the Royal Academy of Performing Arts induced fraud to steal a large number of private photos of female students.

The internet's memory suddenly revived the previously quelled voyeurism incident at Nangang University.

These two incidents bear striking similarities yet remain fundamentally different.
