Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"Welcome to Arcana, my powerful heroes. I have brought you to my world for one thought and one thing: only kill the savage Demon that the Demonic God Dwena has brought to my world, and to not fret, you will gain a massive amount of power and all of the riches you can ask for once you complete the mission I have assigned you," said a woman with golden hair and a vert curvy body, her face covered by a white light. A class of students and an older teacher stare in awe at the goddess.

"I except," a boy with a cocky smile and a look of knowing. "OMG, its like those novels I read. I can get myself a massive harem and maybe even Sarah's attention when I become strong enough,' the boy said with a greedy look.

"Now, wait, Matthew, what do you mean you, except what will your parents think, and as your teacher, I can't have you risking your life for a world you have never been for, and how do we even know you will keep your promise?" The teacher sketched out the whole ordeal.

"I swear on my name; once your mission is over, I will grant you all one wish but for now I must send you down to my world to save it first; let me give you your power." She said, snapping her finger as game-like windows appeared before them, telling them their classes and basic stats and skills for their classes. "Do you except the mission?" she said a final time.

"Yes," x 18 students said in unison.

"Now wait—he was cut off by the goddess.

"Perfect off you go; I wish many glory battles and wins," she said as a magical circle appeared under them as they were teleported somewhere else.

"You can come out Dwena," The Goddess said with a frown.

"Wow, you got a few good heroes this time I might lose haaa, not, you pick the shittest world for your heroes, Cortana." A woman with long black hair and deep red eyes with a third eye on her forehead, which is gray, a black dress revealing her curvy body.

"Say that to the 27 times I won this little war game of ours," Cortana said, smirking.

"Yeah, you got lucky I was planning something; it just took to long," Dwena said, snorting upset as she looked away.

"Yeah, whatever let the games begin, I wish the best of luck, Dwena remember. If I win again, I get more of your artifacts," Cortana said, smiling.

"Yeah, I know, calm down, and I wish you the worst of luck," Dwena said as she disappeared in a mist of shadows.

Now you must be wondering who the main character is—is it one of the students or the teacher? You might be surprised that he has yet to born or, should I say, reborn yet. As for our young protagonist, he lives in a small town in the forest country of Torqués, one of the many countries ruled by humans.

"Come one scum, we need the public restroom clean; that is all your good for." A man said, smiling, dropping a shovel and bucket next to a boy with shabby brown hair and deep green eyes, his clothes riddled with holes and stains, a foul smell coming of him.

"I know Mr. Dew," the boy said as he quickly grabbed the shovel and bucket, running to the bathroom.

****

As he runs, many people in the village, mostly the kids, yell rude comments about him.

"Poor boy, if only his mother was not a whore and his father a drunk, he might have been raised well," said a woman near the earshot of the skinny boy as he slows down, feeling tired.

"Yeah, if only his mother was not caught by the mayor's wife with her husband and stones to death, or his father died in his sleep choking on his own puke," said another as the boy walked out of the ear.

A girl came from one of the alleys creeping behind the boy. When she got right behind him, she grabbed his side, scaring the poor boy and making him drop the shovel.

"Hahahaah, you scare so easily, Harth, he said, laughing.

"Hahaha, so funny, Dorth, what do you want should you not be with your magician instructor?" Hurth said, picking up his shovel.

"Nope, just finished when I saw you walking by, and are you off to clean the public restroom?" she said, holding her nose as she said it.

"Yeah, with the recent plaque, someone needs to; so many people are getting sick. How is your mother doing?" she said, walking side by side with her.

"Good with the healer from the capital came by and brought a skilled herbalist, so she is great. I am so glad Father saved a good amount before retiring from his injuries," she said as she lean forward with her hand behind her back, looking at the sky. "Oh, have you heard a vampire was seen in one of the nearby towns, or at least what was left by him? Many corpses dried of blood, spooky. You think he will come over here," she said with a scared look on her face.

"Sure, and I hope they get you since your so annoying," Hurth said with a hopeful look.

"Bam" *BAM*

Dorth gave him a one-two combo as he felt groaning in pain.

"Yeah, that is what you get you, Bozo," she said, pouting as she ran away.

"Man, does that hurt? At least she left? If Conner saw me with her, I would have gotten beat to death," Hurth said, sighing.

"You got that right, Scum," said an angry voice behind him as a hand grabbed him by the back of his shabby shirt collar.

****

"Hahaha, he's already down. Leave him and make sure you don't get near Dorth again, you fucking worm," Conner said as his friends laughed next to him.

'Damn it, I hate my life Why me? Mr. Dew is going to kill me; he probably when to check on me, damn it.' Hurth looked up, seeing tree all around him He sneered. "Damn it, they dumped me in the forest; which way did they go? I needed to make it back to town." Hurth stood up, limping where he thought he saw Conner and his firsts go.

*CRACK*

Hurth froze hearing a twig snap behind him.

"Oops, it looks like you know I am here and I was trying to be sneaky." A amused voice said.

Turning around, Hurth could see a man with long white hair and a shabby suit with rips and tears in it.

"Damn, it look like someone got to you before. Man, I do not want someone sloppy seconds but I am so thirsty, whatever I need, the strength that damn priest might find me soon," they said, moving so fast it seemed like they teleported behind Hurth and bit his throat.

[Light Magic: Holy Spear]

"Gaaah," The man reversed the blood, sending back into Hurth. "Damn it, you bastard, I might have turned him shit." the man said low as he jumped back with a spear in his gut, burning him.

Quickly pulled it out, yelling as he threw it on to the ground, his stomach and his hand healing only slightly.

[Light Magic: Holy Rain]

*Swoosh* *Shing*

"Damn it, is this really how it ends?" The being said as his body was riddled with light arrows.

"May your soul be redeemed by our Goddess, Cortana." The priest said, stabbing the heart of the vampire with a wooden stack with many engravings. "Poor boy, I was to late, but I must move; he was not the only one," the priest said, saying a prayer for Hurth, who was lying on the ground, blood flowing from his neck.
