After Zack killed the alligator without much effort like it was a normal occurrence left the girls stunt.
'Hey Priya you have been the longest with him was he this strong in the back then?' Hazel asked her using the hivemind although they could have just asked it felt weird in a sense they could not really explain.
It felt a bit dark the way he just walked up to the alligator and knew it was following them before they did it was not like they hated it that he knew just everything felt weird although it could easily be explained if he saw the alligator come at them if he saw it enter the water and go their way but still to have it follow them and he knows felt weird to them.
'No it could be the exercises that made him stronger but i dont understand how he knew the alligator was coming instead of the alligator just hunting near us he knew it was following.' Priya told Hazel from the hivemind and it was true Zack was not this strong in the start.
"Hey since it was following us do you think it could be the work of a legion?" Zack asked the girls he infact did not know allot about alligator about how they live he knows where he just knows enough about.
"Could be a patrol but i dont think anyone is stupid enough the have just one animal on a patrol route so i doubt it." Rachel told Zack she although a bit shocked by his strength does not really mind as long as it does not change him.
"Yeah guess your right i dont think anyone is stupid enough for that so we can just think of it as a weird accident but if it happens again i think we could say it is a legion who is either having patrols or nearby." Zack told them and they all agreed to his theory.
So after that they kept walking through the swamp sometimes looking for a way to cross the river without swimming which Zack was happy to not be swimming in a swamp he does not want some leech on his body under his clothes nor want to find out if some alligator will drag them underwater.
After a big walk the it was sunset although they had not expected to walk so long although it was said it was 10 kilometers to the swamp it was not said how long they need to walk in the swamp and Zack realized it maybe a bit to late but it should be close.
After a little more minutes of walking they saw a cave Hazel pointed at it "she should be in there so expect allot of mosquitos." Right after she said that Zack realized that if all those mosquitos are there the noise must me terrible and they dont have anything to stop the noise.
But its to late to go back now and he sure as hell won't make the same mistake again they have the hivemind to just talk with eachother so its not like it would be hard to talk with eachother.
So as they are walking to the cave there was indeed allot of noise and it was loud Zack looked at the other girls who just have made the realization of that the noise will get louder and they dont have something to put in there ears to stop the noise and it was obvious that they also won't repeat the same mistake.
Although no one was happy to enter a cave where free hearing loss was a normal thing but they do enter the cave and although the girls have no problem with night vision Zack does so he grabs a torch and lights it up atleast something he was prepared for so he was happy about that.
Walking in the cave and exploring it hoping not the find a crossroads but they did so they looked at where the mosquitos where coming from because mosquitos are just like moths attracted to light so they were coming to the torch which also sucked because all the noise was coming towards them but it helped in not choosing the wrong way.
So after seeing where to mosquitos are coming from they obviously walked there they did not have anything to do otherwise.
"I hope that there are no bats in here." Zack told the girls as they kept walking further into the cave.
"Why afraid of them?" Priya asked Zack wondering why he suddenly mentioned bats.
"I am only afraid of the bats that have rabies and bat teeth are so small you might not even know you where bit by one and dying from rabies is not a nice why to go out and i would not wish it on my worst enemy." Zack told them although they could not see his face they could hear that he was a bit uncomfortable talking about rabies but they did understand that rabies is not a good way to go.
"Its kinda ironic now that i think about it." Zack said seemingly out of nowhere.
"Uh what is ironic?" Rachel asked him while looking at the other girls incase it was just her but they were also a bit lost on it.
"Mosquitos can carry allot of diseases and i just randomly brought up bats with rabies which is also a disease just thought it was ironic about the fact we talked about it while getting the captain from the mosquito faction.
As they thought about it the cave became bigger it was like they entered a room but they did not see anything resembling a statue so they looked through the room not finding anything.
"Do you think that there is another room close to here?" Zack asked them he was looking for some secret button on the wall.
"Maybe i dont see anything it could be hidden?" Rachel said but one glance at Hazel she saw Hazel not looking for something.
"What are you doing Hazel did you find something?" Rachel asked her confused about the behaviour of the girl.
"Well it should be here in this room so we just need to look better." That was Hazel's response and Zack nodded and realized that there was one place they had not looked yet.
As Zack looked at top of the entrance to the room he realized that he was right it was on top of the doorway.
"Found her she is on top of the entrance of the room." Zack told the other girls who also looked at it and they saw the girl they were looking for.
A statue who looked ready to ambush anyone who entered and had a pair of wings on her back.
