Pain tore through him, hot and searing as sharp claws raked across his body, cutting through fabric and flesh with terrifying precision.
The force of the attack sent him hurtling through the air, his momentum carrying him until he crashed into the wall. The wall crumbled beneath his weight creating a spider web like fissures.
Gritting his teeth, Ray forced himself to move. As he staggered to his feet, he coughed up blood, his eyes instinctively moving down to his chest.
Three deep, jagged gashes slashed diagonally across his torso till his chest, blood pouring freely from the wounds. The crimson liquid soaked his now teared uniform, dripping onto the ground below. The pain was a fiery agony, but the adrenaline coursing through his veins kept him upright atleast for now.
He turned towards the direction he was standing before. The demon had emerged with a blinding speed he was unable to dodge.
