Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Swift Kill

Clang!

A crisp metallic sound rang out.

Seimei's Body Flicker Technique wasn't fully mastered yet. Its lv2 level didn't allow him to achieve the "teleportation" effect in front of Genin.

Therefore, before Seimei could strike, the Iwa-nin Genin reacted and raised his kunai, blocking Seimei's attack.

However, due to his previously injured arm, his strength wasn't sufficient and was easily overpowered by Seimei.

Looking at the opponent's blood-soaked arm, Seimei's eyes flickered. His kunai slashed and stabbed, launching over a dozen attacks in the blink of an eye.

Even though the Iwa-nin Genin tried his best to defend, he still couldn't keep up with Seimei's rhythm.

Finally, after another swing of the kunai, Seimei found an opportunity. He exerted force from his waist and abdomen and kicked out his right foot fiercely.

Thump!

A muffled impact sounded.

The Iwa-nin Genin felt his left arm go numb, and his entire body was sent flying diagonally backward.

Seimei didn't let up. Before retracting his right foot, he swiftly threw three shuriken. Empowered by his lv3 'Shuriken Throwing', they aimed directly at three vital points.

Sensing the danger, the Iwa-nin Genin quickly dodged.

Unfortunately, in mid-air with nowhere to leverage himself, even after twisting his body with all his might, he could only dodge two of them.

In the end, one shuriken still hit his thigh.

Blood gushed out. The shuriken Seimei threw had precisely struck the artery in his leg.

As his body landed, the Iwa-nin Genin couldn't maintain his balance and stumbled, letting out a suppressed groan.

At that moment, Seimei used the Body Flicker Technique and silently appeared behind him.

A chill ran down his spine, and beads of sweat rolled down the Iwa-nin Genin's forehead. A strong sense of despair emanated from him.

"No..."

A near-pleading voice reached Seimei's ears.

But he remained unmoved.

Swish!

The sound of a blade piercing flesh rang out.

The Iwa-nin Genin's pupils suddenly dilated, and blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

"Gasp... Gasp..."

A sound as if his trachea was blocked came from his mouth. Seimei expressionlessly pulled the kunai out from his back.

Pfft!

A mouthful of blood spurted from the Iwa-nin Genin's mouth.

Then, he collapsed onto the ground, completely lifeless.

After killing him, Seimei scanned his surroundings and then immediately rushed towards Mizutani Shizuko.

Her taijutsu was already weak, and now she was being besieged by two Iwa-nin Genin. The situation was not looking good, and Seimei had to rescue her quickly.

As expected, after he took the lead in the attack, it only took less than three minutes for the two Iwa-nin Genin to fall to the ground.

Then, without resting, Seimei targeted the two Iwa-nin Genin who were fighting Ryosuke.

Just like before, after he and Mizutani Shizuko joined the fight, the two Iwa-nin Genin didn't have much chance to resist and were killed within a few minutes.

Seimei and his two teammates were the only three Genin on Konoha's side, so the Iwa-nin assigned to deal with them were also Genin.

This was a perfectly normal arrangement. Two against one, and both being Genin, the Iwa-nin theoretically couldn't lose.

However, they didn't expect Seimei to be a game-changer, a Genin in name, but with combat power far exceeding that level.

Ultimately, one mistake led to the deaths of six Iwa-nin Genin.

But that was it.

After he killed six Iwa-nin Genin in a row, he finally attracted the attention of other Iwa-nin. Immediately, three Iwa-nin Chunin abandoned their opponents and charged straight at him.

Seeing this, Seimei didn't turn back and said to Ryosuke and Mizutani Shizuko behind him, "Help me hold off the one on the left."

"Okay." x2

Having fought together for so long, Ryosuke and Mizutani Shizuko had considerable trust in Seimei.

Therefore, after he spoke, they agreed almost without hesitation.

Receiving their confirmation, Seimei didn't waste any more time. He kicked off the ground with both feet and charged towards the two Iwa-nin Chunin on the right.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Several shuriken flew towards him.

Seimei's figure swayed slightly, like a butterfly flitting among flowers, easily dodging the attack.

Seeing this, the already serious expressions of the two Iwa-nin Chunin became even more grim.

They weren't surprised that Seimei could dodge this wave of attacks. After all, someone who could kill six of their Genin in such a short time must have some skills.

But what they didn't expect was that Seimei dodged so effortlessly, with the shuriken almost grazing his body.

This seemed simple but was actually very dangerous.

It not only required the ninja to be bold and meticulous, remaining calm and composed before the attack arrived, but also required them to have a clear judgment of the opponent's attack.

Otherwise, not only would it not save energy, but it might also result in getting oneself covered in blood.

Therefore, generally speaking, unless they were absolutely certain, ninja would leave some room for error.

But clearly, Seimei didn't.

This made the two Iwa-nin Chunin even more cautious towards him.

All of this happened in an instant.

After dodging the two Iwa-nin's shuriken attack, Seimei didn't slow down and arrived in front of them in the blink of an eye. The clanging of kunai clashing followed.

Thanks to the past month of training, his combat experience had greatly increased.

Now, facing the combined attack of two Iwagakure Chunin again, he was no longer as passive as he had been during the ambush earlier.

However, his goal wasn't just to stall them.

Seimei glanced at the battlefield from the corner of his eye.

On the Jonin side, although Konoha was at a disadvantage, neither side had suffered any casualties yet.

On the Chunin and Genin side, besides the six Iwa-nin Genin he had killed, one Iwa-nin Chunin and two Iwa-nin Genin had been killed by his other teammates.

However, being outnumbered, killing these three enemies had cost Konoha two Chunin.

In other words, there were still six Jonin, eight Chunin, and one Genin on the Iwa-nin side.

And on their side?

Apart from the two Jonin and two Tokubetsu Jonin, there were only four Chunin left, along with the three Genin from their Team 17.

4+3 against 8+1, he had to kill at least two or three more Iwa-nin Chunin to maintain some balance on the Chunin and Genin battlefield.

As for the Jonin battlefield...

That wasn't something he could participate in or influence.

All Seimei could do was try his best to ensure that their side of the battlefield didn't collapse.

Anything more was beyond his capabilities.

Unless...

He was willing to expose his Sharingan!

But unless absolutely necessary, Seimei wouldn't do that.

The Sharingan was his trump card, and the reason it was called a trump card was its ability to turn the tide of battle.

Although his Sharingan was only single tomoe, combined with the 'Demonic Illusion: Shackling Stakes Technique' he had mastered, even a Jonin would be somewhat affected by a surprise attack.

And ninja were fragile. As long as he could seize that opportunity, even if he couldn't kill the enemy outright, he could at least severely injure them.

That way, he would have a chance to escape.

Therefore, unless he was forced into a corner, he wouldn't use his Sharingan.
