Adam had a plan in place before he even arrived at the Arthur family mansion.
His sharp gaze moved to the mansion's grand library, visible from where he perched on a high branch.
A single window on the ground floor offered him a clear view into the room, though it was partially obscured by heavy drapes.
Adam activated his skill, God's Eye, focusing through the window to see if the Head of the Family was alone.
The sight that greeted him was more interesting than expected.
Inside, Alaric Arthur, the Head of the Arthur family, was deep in conversation with his son, Gavin, and their trusted military advisor, Roland.
Adam, sensing the importance of their discussion, decided to hold back and observe for now.
Inside the Library-
The library was a vast room filled with towering shelves of books, old manuscripts, and documents bound in dark leather.
In the center of the room stood Alaric, his commanding presence evident.
Beside him, Gavin had an intense look on his face, while Roland, calm and measured, seemed as thoughtful as ever.
Gavin broke the silence. "Father, we need to act now, or the Kol family will destroy everything we've built in this city."
Roland chimed in, "Sir, while I don't always agree with Gavin, we've received intelligence that the underworld is mobilizing its people. Their movements are organized, and it's clear something is brewing."
Gavin's voice rose with impatience, "Father, this has to be the Kol family's doing. They—"
Before Gavin could finish, Alaric raised a hand, silencing them both. "I told you before: we don't interfere with the Kol family. We don't need a war. Our responsibility is to keep this state running."
Gavin tried to protest, "But, Father…"
Alaric's voice hardened as he looked at Roland. "Gavin is still young, but Roland, I expected better judgment from you."
Roland's expression dimmed. "I'm sorry, sir. I didn't mean to disappoint you."
"That's enough." Alaric's tone left no room for further discussion. "Leave me."
With resigned expressions, both Gavin and Roland exited the library.
From his vantage point, Adam smirked. 'Now I understand why the Kol family has been so bold. The Arthur family is simply watching from the sidelines.' He took a mental note. 'Good thing I looked into the head of the family first—he would've been trouble otherwise. Now, how to proceed?'
His gaze shifted to Gavin as he exited the library. Adam activated his God's Eye once more, revealing Gavin's profile window.

As Adam examined Gavin more closely, he noted his formidable presence—tall and broad-shouldered, with piercing brown eyes that matched the intensity in his expression.
His dark hair bore the unmistakable mark of the Arthur lineage, and he wore a deep, midnight-colored robe embroidered with the Arthur family crest.
"I've found my target," Adam murmured. "Now to make my move."
He watched Gavin as he walked away from the library, separating from Roland.
Frustration simmered in Gavin's stride as he made his way to his quarters, where he slammed a fist on the table in anger.
Adam's lips twisted into a smile as he slipped unnoticed toward Gavin's room.
Inside the room, Gavin paced, muttering to himself. "Why is my father so soft? Everything's on the line—our city, our legacy. And I can't do anything. What kind of heir am I if I can't protect my family?"
In that moment, the atmosphere shifted. Gavin froze, sensing a dark presence in the room.
"I can help you."
Gavin spun around, instantly on guard. His eyes fell on Adam, who stood shrouded in shadow, his face half-hidden by a mask.
Gavin's gaze hardened. "Who are you, and how did you get past our security?"
Adam chuckled softly. "Gavin Arthur, I am your only hope. No need to be afraid—if I meant you harm, you'd already be dead."
Gavin's mind raced. 'An intruder got into my room undetected? Has our security truly fallen so far?' His chest tightened, and he cursed under his breath. 'No one respects the Arthur family anymore.'
"What reason do I have to believe you aren't a threat?" Gavin asked, voice steady but laced with caution.
Adam shrugged. "Fair question. Would you like me to prove my sincerity?"
After a tense pause, Gavin gave a nod, still maintaining his defensive stance.
Adam pulled several documents from his inventory, spreading them across the floor. He took a step back, watching Gavin's reaction. "These," he said, "are the future of your city."
Gavin's eyes widened with surprise. After a moment of hesitation, he stepped closer, picking up one of the documents.
Adam's voice was calm. "I mean you no harm, Gavin. Your goals and mine are aligned."
Gavin, ignoring him for the moment, began scanning the documents. His eyes went wide as he read, his jaw tightening with every line.
Gavin's grip tightened on the papers. "Where did you get this?"
Adam crossed his arms. "Do you believe me now?"
Gavin looked at him with suspicion, then gave a reluctant nod. "For now."
He scrutinized Adam's face, eyes narrowing. "But how do I know you're not just a spy for the Kol family?"
Adam chuckled. "I can't prove it at the moment, but I can certainly show my allegiance in time."
Gavin scoffed. "You think showing me these papers will gain my trust?"
Adam's expression didn't waver. "This is a gesture of good faith. Let that speak for itself."
Gavin shook his head, muttering under his breath, "What, are you a child?"
Adam's brow twitched, caught off guard. 'How could he possibly know?'
Gavin looked directly at him, a trace of sarcasm in his voice. "If you want me to believe in you, you'll have to prove it."
Adam:"I had heard that the heir of the Arthur family is very intelligent and thinks about his city, that is why I came to you and not to your father, but looking at you it seems that you are concerned about yourself."
