Beside him, Princess Anya leaned back slightly, her gaze fixed on the horizon as she finished relaying her information. Adam, however, was lost in thought, meticulously planning for the challenges that lay ahead.
The silence between them stretched until Anya's soft voice broke it. "What exactly are you planning to do?" she asked, her tone calm but curious as her eyes flicked toward him.
Adam turned his head to meet her gaze, his expression resolute. "I think I'll have to deal with this directly," he replied. His voice carried a quiet intensity. "If I don't, they won't stop."
Anya nodded, her lips curling into a knowing smile. "You're right," she said simply. "They won't."
