Chapter: Into the Forest
The dense canopy of the Level Zero forest loomed ahead, its entrance marked by a natural arch of intertwined branches. The sunlight barely penetrated the thick foliage, casting the area in dappled shadows. Adam, Lily, Princess Anya, and her assistant Kael approached the forest with steady steps, the crunch of dried leaves underfoot the only sound breaking the stillness.
Groups of students fanned out around them, each heading toward different paths leading into the forest. Nervous chatter and excited laughter filled the air as the teams disappeared into the greenery, leaving Adam's group alone at their starting point.
Adam took the lead, his sharp gaze scanning the surroundings. His movements were calculated, his steps deliberate. Behind him, Lily and Kael walked side by side, while Princess Anya brought up the rear, her expression unreadable.
