"Told you, you shouldn't have drunk so much," Kai muttered under his breath, his tone tinged with annoyance as he supported Kiara, the Sword Hero, who staggered beside him.
Her once-perfectly polished blond hair, now a bit messy from the night's revelry, glistened faintly in the moonlight.
Despite the obvious signs of drunkenness, she was still taller than him, and as she swayed, he propped his body against hers, trying his best to keep her steady.
He could feel her weight shift as she leaned on him, her arm draped around his shoulder.
"I… am… not drunk," Kiara slurred, managing to speak between breaths. Then, as if to prove her point, she let out a loud, undignified burp.
Kai sighed, glancing sideways at her with a raised eyebrow.
"Sure, you're not," he muttered dryly, not even bothering to try and hide his irritation. She was definitely drunk. There was no denying it.
