Chapter 8
Alex came into the room and said " come out for dinner", but Abigail didn't respond to him " I'm talking to you " he said angrily, but Abigail still gave him a deaf ear, he angrily walked towards Abigail who was on the bed and forced her to face him " I said come and have dinner " , " after trying to rape me, you still want me to eat? ", She asked and looked at him with blood shot eyes, " you just said it, I tried, but I didn't, so please come and eat , I don't want you to starve" Alex replied.
" I will not eat, even more f I die, you almost took away the most important thing to me"Abigail said coldly, " what is so important about it huh?, Why are you making a fuss over it, I tried but I didn't what's wrong with you, besides it is your job to satisfy me, but you didn't " Alex replied, " Job my foot, you don't love me, you just married me to satisfy your lustful desire!!" Abigail exclaimed ," say that one more time, and I am going to rape you for real this time around " he warned her, Abigail snorted coldly and said it again " alright you've done it" he said and pushed her down on the bed, immediately he did that, Abigail took out the flower vase, she had been hiding, and broke it on his head, the remaining glasses that were shattered on the floor, she stabbed him on the chest , close to his heart.
Abigail got up and ran away from his house with all her might, his guards were busy talking and they didn't notice when she ran away.
Luke came into Alex's room to give him a document, when he saw him in the pool of his own blood.
He alerted the guards and ordered them to chase after Abigail , while he and the others, carried Alex into the car and drove him to the hospital.
Abigail increased her pace , when she saw Alex guards that were chasing after her.
Abigail ran to the road side, while she was running, she tripped on her foot and fell down, she tried to run, but she couldn't, she just watched as Alex's guards got closer, she knew she was doomed.
When all hope was lost, a guy from nowhere carried her, into his car, he started the engine of the car, and drove as fast as he could, Abigail was tired, that she lost consciousness.
*******The next day
Abigail woke up in a strange room, she sat upright and looked around the room, only to see a tall handsome man sitting down while working on his laptop " hey you're finally awake" Alexis said with a smile , " who are you?, And why am I here?" Abigail asked , " my name is Alexis and I was the one that saved you from the hands of those men, and if I may ask, why were you running away from them?" Alexis asked " it's a long story cut short, I was almost raped by a guy, so I stabbed him, I don't know if he is alive or not, that's why they were chasing after me" Abigail replied.
" Wow , who would want to rape a beautiful girl like you, I'm sorry for what happened,this is the guest room, I stayed here all night waiting for you to wake up, if you need anything just tell me, the bathroom is over there and there are clothes in the wardrobe, they belong to my sister but, she never actually wore them, so you can have them" Alexis said.
At the hospital*********
Alex had a surgery and was still sleeping after 8 hours, he finally woke up, he averted his gaze to Luke and said " Do not bother looking for her,leave her to me, I knew she was gonna run away , when I'm healed I will look for her by myself.
Alexis house***********
" Thanks for helping me , I don't know what they would've done to me if you didn't help me" Abigail said " don't worry I'm here to help" he replied with a smile .
" The only problem I have is that I don't know where to live, because I left my phone there, and the new apartment I parked into, was given to another person" Abigail said in a depressed tone.
" Ok if that's the problem, you can stay with me for the mean time, I will sort everything out, and get a house for you" Alexis said.
Abigail felt uncomfortable but she knew she had no other choice, she had nothing with her currently, so she struggled to stay " wow thank you so much, I am so happy you won't regret my stay".
