Time distorted, stretching each second into eternity,Memories flooded in as my existence slowly disappeared,the memories wasn't filled with a jumbled montage of loved ones,my sense of self began to disintegrate,the world narrowed into a single, desperate thought: Breathe.
The unholy moonlight casted a treacherous gleam on that peculiar silver hair as I drifted further and further.
"This is where it ends" darkness finally closed in, a suffocating shroud.

"Jade"
A voice jerked me off my slumber.
"Hmm?" I answered Leah while removing the blonde hair that stuck to my cheek when i slept.
I had gotten used to the reoccurring nightmares that has now invaded my nap.
"You're having that dream again?"she asked,her eyebrows furrowing.
"No"I packed my books from the desk avoiding her eyes,she picked up her own items as she followed me out of the classroom.
"You don't have to lie to me Jade,what was this one about ?"she asked pulling me to a stop.
"I don't know! I felt my self drowning this time but it's all fine….I'm good" I reassured her with a smile.
"Was he there?" She asked softly,trying not to trigger me.
"Yes."
Leah went silent probably running out of words.
We got to Leah's car, I slumped in the passenger sit while she drove me to my house or rather where my supposed biological incubator and her extra weight of an husband stayed.
Midway she turned on her music player and started screaming 'baby' by Justin,specifically pointing to me when the lyrics said "I'll buy you anything (yo), I'll buy you any ring"
"You broke as f**k" I eyed her.
"I'm robbing a bank for my baby,you don't worry"
"So I can waste that much money bailing you?,oh please" I snickered,shutting my eyes as I let the cool evening breeze brush past my face.
On reaching my house,she packed at the front of the water fountain while I alighted"Hey Jade," I turned back to look at her "it's just a dream" she said.
But I was fully aware this wasn't.
"Hmm" I mumbled,noticing my silence that came after she grumbled then drove away.
I walked up my porch,inhaled two deep breath, opened the door then walked in.
"Hey daughter " Maya greeted as she walked hand in hand with her husband Rowan,they took the keys placed on the center table and headed towards the door,before stepping out Rowan turned and pointed towards the room upstairs "my boy just arrived,take good care of him " he winked then shut the door.
Sighing,i walked up the stairs desperate to wash this so called day away,when a sturdy body came into view.
It was none other than,Kayden.
I have seen him so many times in the pictures i was forced to look at, all I can say is the cameras didn't do any justice in capturing this deadly beauty,he was the sexiest thing I'd ever seen.
He stared down at me,like I was the most insignificant thing he has seen today,forgive me for being turned on by that. I wasn't exactly short as he was just a few inches taller and by few I mean about six, I was 5feet 10inches tall.
His deep sea blue eyes which had a spark of gold in them,his thick black hair styled backwards not a single strand out of place. "How much gel most have gone in your head!!"
"Repeat"
Realizing I vocalized my thought.
"Jelly!! I was talking about jelly,,,I'm famished" my deep throated laugh caught me off guard.
"Was there a need for me to know?" His thick black eyebrow scrunched up.
"Nope,just hunger talks" i hissed.
"Move" he said already sounding irritated while I quickly squirreled to the corner of the stair so he could pass.
"Buffalo!" I cursed.
Goosebumps enveloped my skin as I realized he heard me, catching the slight glance he gave me notifying,I quickly ran to my room and locked the door.
"Is he a witch or something ?" Thinking he might have heard me again,I opened the door slowly poking my head outside to make sure I was safe, letting out a sigh of relief after not seeing his figure in the hallway.
I quickly went to my desk and opened my laptop that was on it,I logged in knowing fully well that X must have bombarded me with messages.
I carefully read the message in details,making sure I wouldn't forget anything.
After I was done I took an extremely long bath,then fell on my bed which lacked a proper bedsheet.
As I slowly succumbed to nature my mind reminded of the fire I'm about to play with but I would make sure it burns the right person even if it's the last thing I do.

Waking up on school days is the hardest thing i have ever done in my life and I've dealt with thugs!!,i grumbled immediately I got up.
After getting dressed in my blue baggy pants and white tank top with a matching white sneakers,i took my backpack ready for school.
Leah's house wasn't far from mine so I quickly texted "ready" before I headed down stairs to eat breakfast.
Today's breakfast was awfully silently which was the best gift they could give me,after I finished eating Leah asked me to come out that she was close by, i quickly picked up the bag I placed on the ground and was on my way outside when Maya asked Kayden,who was also leaving to drop me off.
"I'd be fine" i shouted quickly closing the door behind me,trying to avoid any sort of conflict this morning, turning around was Kayden standing few inches away with a stoic face.
"What?" I couldn't help eyeing him up and down and noticing those long legs of his in those god forsaking pants! "damn" I really need justice for my eyes.
"I'm going to your school today for a business,I would like it if you do not to claim any personal relationship with me,not even as my housekeeper "
I was being warned but all I could concentrate on was him coming to my school "Aren't you too old for my school? If it's the job of a lecturer or janitor those positions are full?" He was 25 and I was 21,I knew I was exaggerating but I did it anyway.
"I could buy your school and all its branches and turn them into a cafe if I seem fit" he took two steps closer to me,our faces almost touching,seconds later he brought his mouth to my ears and whispered "non mettere alla prova la mia pazienza"
"I'm so scared" I faked shivering. Knowing fully well I was still being threatened,he grunted then walked away.
At same time Leah drove into the compound stopping in front of me,once I got in,already knowing the type of person my best friend was,she exploded my ears with series of screams.
"Jade,I just saw a god on your porch explain why!" She closed her eyes trying to calm herself.
"Where" I faked searching,while she started the car heading to our school.
"Ughhhhhh jade!!!"
Kayden's warning was still fresh on my mind but i really didn't care"Your God is my step brother and he's busy leaving rent free in my house"
"Did you accumulate a thousand good karma in your past life for him to be your stepbrother!,why you though,i was certainly good in my previous life but my brother looks like he swallowed a frog?"
Leah continued her rant ,her brother didn't exactly look like a frog,just a few similarities.
"At least frogs do not threaten people"i crossed my legs on the dashboard.
"He threatened you?"
"Yup,told me not to claim any personal relationship with him""
"Why is that?"
"Too many whys darling and I really have no idea" "Maybe because I'm too ugly" I shrugged.
She gave me a look of disbelief"Do you have any mirrors at all in your house? Everything about you is perfect,,,at least in my eyes" she winked while I laughed.
"Here I was wishing for a fairy god mother than can swap your eyes with mine since forever ,,,,those beautiful emerald eyes" she sighed.
"I'd tell you a secret too" i leaned closer and said " I've always wanted your hair.
"Deal" Leah snickered,she was a perfect mixture of different race,an Korean mom and a African dad!,I loved her type 3b hair so much more than my 1a.
Seconds later something moved past us in lightning speed which we discovered was Kayden's roll Royce.
"He going to get himself killed before I kill him"I mumbled while my darling best friend dreamily said. "what an Angel…..Gosh I'd give anything to be in your position right now"
"I'd exchange if you give me money "i smiled,stretching my her hands towards her.
"Thief" Leah grumbled.
