Elissa handed him an ID badge, no larger than the average palm, while explaining a few details and guiding him through the different parts of the dorm.
The dorm had three floors.
Only the second floor had rooms, thirty to be exact.
The third floor was an expansive cafeteria where breakfast, lunch, and dinner would be served.
Even with just six students present in the next two weeks, no even if it was just one, all the little details would still be attended to.
Inside dorm room one, Anon sat on his bed, staring at the ceiling.
There was an air conditioner attached to the wall blowing out quite cold air.
At night, the sensors installed on it would increase the heat of the air it blew, if desired.
Anon's gaze landed on his surroundings.
Compared to his home for the past six years, this was much better, yet it still could not compare to his true home.
"Back then, Father brought home an artificial lifeform with a humanoid body."
Anon smiled, a trace of nostalgia flashing through his eyes, "At that time, he allowed me to name it, so I did."
That day saw the birth of Liam.
"His intelligence is even higher than the average human, and though he isn't a true entity, he has simple emotions and still cares for me deeply."
Naturally, even in the current earth, it would be difficult to find such technology.
In truth, humans on Earth didn't experience technological advancement through breakthroughs, instead they absorbed the resources from other worlds and civilizations with the power of their Otherworldly Knights, and six heroes.
"Absorb? Isn't that just a nicer way of saying 'plunder'?"
Anon shook his head, "Well, I'll not truly know until I see it for myself. Another civilization!"
His heart raced with anticipation.
Only the unknown got his heart to thump like this.
"Not just one, father says there are close to two hundred billion planets and more than five hundred billion stars just in this galaxy, of which, thirty billion has life, ten million, comparable to the old world, and just over a hundred are genuine civilizations."
A world with life wasn't considered a true civilization; only after experiencing the universe's baptism and evolving into a higher stage of existence could they call themselves a civilization.
'So many planets exist with history much deeper than ours, proven by their higher technological state, yet all civilizations came to only forty-five years ago, with civilizations meeting other civilizations less than thirty or so years ago.'
The earthlings called it the apocalypse at the time, currently, it was known as the great rebirth.
The baptism, cosmic creatures called it such.
Interconnected, both were the same thing that happened at the same time.
Verily, it was the greatest mystery.
'Even father who has seen thousands of civilizations in galaxies unimaginably far away, visiting tens and hundreds of differing galaxies, is yet to understand what the cause of the baptism was.'
Anon smiled.
There were so many things that he wished to know.
Just on earth, he desired to understand the entirety of its world space, peering into its secrets.
The near worlds were the step thereafter, and then the farther civilizations, before truly embracing the overwhelming intensity of the universe in its entirety.
'One step at a time.'
He repeated in his mind.
A genius was just that.
Dying prematurely was the greatest shame for such an entity.
Only after a genius matured could a strong individual be born.
For Anon, the most important thing was to grasp his power, all of them.
'All of them?' Anon grimaced.
He inherited Inevitable End from his father, but this was very incredibly rare.
Usually, the principles from the father and mother would intertwine and give birth to a unique one.
As a result, it was rare for an individual to possess two principles.
However, the power and abilities he had extracted from Inevitable End so far aligned with what his father had achieved when at Anon's stage.
At the same time, his mother's principle had seemingly mutated due to Inevitable End's existence, giving him a mutated version of his mother's principle, and simultaneously, his father's principle.
As for his mother's principle, Anon didn't know its true worth.
After all, Inevitable End had his father as an example, instead, this principle was a branch of his mother's strange power which had confused the new world order, much less a humble youth like himself.
"I don't even know how to activate it."
Anon sighed, "Does that even make any sense? Logically, since I became a stellar fighter at seven, I should've grasped control over both my principles, yet I was unable to grasp hold of Inevitable End until just last year."
Because of its nature, being a rather unique, and unnaturally powerful principle, it needed an appropriate will to activate it.
The average fifteen-year-old would certainly lack the faculties to manipulate it, much less a seven-year-old Anon.
Conversely, although he could sense his other principle, activating it felt like grasping at air, leaving him with a sense of futility in any attempt to use it.
'In truth, if those dreams had begun when I became a stellar fighter, I'd have thought that it was related to my second principle.'
Anon shook his head dispiritedly.
Instinctively, he felt that he always had these dreams, from birth, or maybe even in his mother's womb.
He remembered nearly everything from his life, even his time in his mother's womb, yet the greatest mystery remained these nightmares.
When had they begun?
He felt like he knew, yet he didn't dare think of it too much.
It was akin to someone that desired to focus on one thing and ridding themselves of any other thoughts, only reversed.
He subconsciously thought of other things to cover this single thought.
"Is this fear?" Anon grinned, "Am I afraid of pain?" He chuckled.
Thinking like this, he didn't realize that the room had grown cold and cozy, unknowingly, he covered himself under the blanket and fell asleep.
Though he suffered from nightmares, he had somewhat acclimatized his senses with the current level of pain.
At the same time, acclimatizing to pain wasn't like, oh suddenly, I don't feel a thing, but instead, to this pain, his mind wouldn't be in such a chaotic state.
Most importantly, when he grew accustomed to it, the nightmares would come to a halt for a period.
It was almost as if it stopped to accumulate power, because when it returned, it would be much more painful than the last time.
The first nightmare after returning would always be the most dangerous, coming unexpectedly, abruptly, and agonizingly.
…
There was a pool filled with a thick, dark red fluid, roughly twenty by ten meters.
Its depths were impossible to determine at first glance.
Bubbles rose to the surface of the pool before popping, causing a sizzling sound to enter the air.
Thereafter, the head of a crimson eyed boy popped out.
There were several servants standing outside of the pool, some with pale faces, and others with fearful and, or respectful expressions, nonetheless, they were all obedient.
As Seth stepped out of the pool, they attended to his needs.
'He was clearly much weaker yesterday than this morning, and yet, he didn't seem to realize?'
Thinking this, he glanced at the blood pool.
It previously exuded a dark and eerie aura, right now, it simply seemed like a normal pool of whatever liquid it was.
'Well, with this, I've completely surpassed him once more.' He smiled, 'As expected of him.'
The sound of someone knocking on the room's doors brought him back to reality.
A servant entered, kneeling towards Anon, conveying that Rolan and Parkinson had arrived.
Seth's blood-red orbs shone with an even more noticeable bloody light than ever before.
His gaze encompassed all his servants, landing on each one of them, and without fail, causing every one of them to shirk back with trembling bodies.
The Constantin family was unlike any other great family.
Here, the head of the family, an Otherworldly Knight, even when present, was a less threatening, imposing, and authoritative figure than their own son.
This son was not yet an adult, nor did he have anywhere near the power held by an Otherworldly Knight, yet even the head of this family bows in his presence, why?
"The supreme commander has made preparations, Anon has made preparations, and the insects have prepared as well,"
Seth proclaimed.
"But there is an ancient saying: man proposes, and God disposes. In this instance, they have all made their proposals."
"Now, I will dispose."
