Chapter 95 - The Actions of Kumogakure, The Village Hidden in the Clouds

"I'll take this mission," Furen said as he took the scroll for the escort mission to Takigakure.

This time, Furen accepted a B-rank escort mission, similar in nature to the previous mission in the Land of Waves, though in that mission, Tazuna had lied about the difficulty. B-rank missions, like this one, are typically issued by a client, and once a ninja accepts it, there might be battles with other ninjas along the way.

Furen opened the mission scroll, and based on the details, he found the client staying at an inn in Konoha Village. The client was a man with a scar across his face. At first glance, Furen could sense some chakra within him, indicating that this man was not an ordinary civilian but at least of jonin level.

The scarred man glanced at Furen for a few moments, seemingly evaluating if Furen had the strength to handle the mission. After all, his request clearly stated that a special jonin level of skill was required to avoid any mission failure.

Furen, not feeling the need to explain himself, simply showed the mission request scroll and asked, "Who am I supposed to escort?"

The scarred man hesitated for a moment but, after seeing Furen's jonin attire and headband, turned around and pulled back the curtain behind him, revealing a large, jar-like container.

"This mission doesn't require you to escort a person. I need you to deliver this jar to a specific address in Takigakure," the scarred man said as he handed a piece of paper to Furen.

Furen glanced at the jar, feeling a suspicion rise within him, but didn't speak. He silently memorized the map.

"Got the address?" the scarred man asked as he took back the paper and burned it, ensuring the information wouldn't fall into the wrong hands.

Afterward, the scarred man brought out a space scroll, about half the height of a person, and sealed the large jar inside it. He added layers of sealing techniques and then handed the scroll to Furen.

"If there's any sign of tampering with the seal, the mission will be considered a failure!" the scarred man said sternly, squinting his eyes.

Furen took the space scroll, felt its weight, and then stared directly into the scarred man's eyes.

"It's been a while since I've used this technique… Mind Body Chaos Technique."

As Furen finished speaking, he instantly projected part of his consciousness into the scarred man's mind.

Inside the scarred man's mental space, a massive brain floated in the center. Furen extended his hand and pulled out a few large scrolls of memory from the brain.

After reading through the memories, a smile appeared on Furen's face. "Interesting..."

The jar, which had been sealed by the scarred man, was actually a powerful sealing tool, specifically designed to seal a tailed beast.

"A replica of the Sage of the Six Paths' Amber Purifying Pot, huh…" Furen muttered as he re-examined the jar. It did indeed bear a resemblance to the Amber Purifying Pot used by the Sage of the Six Paths, though Furen wasn't sure if it had the same power.

Delivering such an object in secret to Takigakure could only mean one thing: they were planning to use it on Takigakure's tailed beast, the Seven-Tails.

The Seven-Tails was the only tailed beast not under the control of a major nation but rather in the hands of a small country.

"So Fu has just recently become the Seven-Tails' jinchuriki?" From the scarred man's memories, Furen learned that the Seven-Tails' jinchuriki sealing had just been completed, unlike Naruto or Gaara, who had their tailed beasts sealed within them from childhood.

This also explained why Fu had such a cheerful personality. She was outgoing, friendly, and not shunned by her village, unlike Gaara or Naruto, who grew up being feared and isolated.

Though Furen now understood the jar's purpose, the scarred man's memories did not reveal who was behind the Seven-Tails' capture. He was merely one of the many subordinates handling the task.

"Although I don't know who's behind it, given that this is a replica of the Amber Purifying Pot, it's most likely connected to Kumogakure," Furen concluded. After all, the original Amber Purifying Pot was in the possession of Kumogakure's Kinkaku. If a replica existed, it would most likely be in the hands of the Land of Lightning.

With this information, Furen deduced that it wasn't the Akatsuki who were after the tailed beast at this time. If it were Akatsuki, they wouldn't need to go through such lengths with specialized sealing tools.

As one of the Five Great Nations, the Land of Lightning already possessed two powerful tailed beasts—the Two-Tails and the Eight-Tails. More importantly, both the Two-Tails' jinchuriki, Yugito Nii, and the Eight-Tails' jinchuriki, Killer Bee, were "perfect jinchuriki," individuals who had fully synchronized with their tailed beasts and could perfectly control their powers.

"It seems that after having two perfect jinchuriki, the Raikage has set his sights on obtaining a third," Furen mused. It made sense that Kumogakure would aim to capture another tailed beast.

"I'm curious to see how Kumogakure plans to capture the Seven-Tails."

After removing the Mind Body Chaos Technique from the scarred man, Furen allowed him to reseal the jar in the space scroll. The scarred man, unaware of what had just happened, was left with no memory of it.

Feigning ignorance, Furen slung the scroll onto his back and set off for the Land of Waterfalls (Takigakure).
