As Furin noticed the increase in Kurama Yakumo's affection level through the system, a smile crept across his lips. He stepped forward and politely extended his hand.
"Hello, I'm Tsuki Yoru Furin."
Kurama Yakumo snapped out of her reverie, having momentarily envisioned a romantic relationship with him. Quickly setting down her brush, she blushed slightly and extended her own hand. "I'm Kurama Yakumo. It's nice to meet you."
"I'm here to attend Kurenai-sensei's class," Furin said, pulling a stool from the side to sit next to Yakumo. "Kurenai-sensei mentioned that your genjutsu is impressive. If there's anything I can learn, I'd like to ask you for guidance."
Yakumo felt a wave of embarrassment wash over her at his compliment, but she nodded nonetheless. While she struggled with ninjutsu and physical skills, she was confident that her genjutsu could rival even that of her teacher, Kurenai.
"Alright, now I'll explain the genjutsu we'll be learning today," Kurenai said, noticing Yakumo's happiness at meeting Furin and feeling cheerful as well.
Kurenai began from the basics. "Genjutsu is one of the three essential skills a ninja must master: ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. It's an attack that targets the enemy's five senses…"
Furin nodded along. Although he had developed a solid resistance to genjutsu after mastering the Mind Transfer Technique from the Yamanaka clan and the genjutsu from Doyu, he realized he didn't fully understand the mechanics of genjutsu.
After Kurenai's explanation, Furin gained a deeper appreciation for Kurama Yakumo's formidable abilities and recognized the Kurama clan's strengths in comparison to the Uchiha clan.
While Doyu's genjutsu manipulated sound, using the flute as a weapon to draw opponents into an illusion, the Uchiha clan primarily employed visual techniques. The simplest counter against Uchiha genjutsu was to close one's eyes, rendering their illusions ineffective. Even Itachi Uchiha's ultimate genjutsu, Izanami, relied on tactile sensations to function.
However, Kurama Yakumo's genjutsu was different: as long as even one of the five senses remained active, there was no escape from her illusions. It was nearly impossible for a ninja to completely block all their senses, making them vulnerable and exposed like meat on a chopping block!
Kurenai concluded, "That's the basic genjutsu I wanted to discuss today. Furin, if you have any questions, you can chat with Yakumo."
After speaking for a while and giving a brief introduction to genjutsu, Kurenai sensed the exchange of glances between Yakumo and Furin and felt a twinge of guilt for not being able to dedicate more time to Yakumo. She decided to push Furin toward her.
Furin was delighted by Kurenai's encouragement.
"Furin-kun, do you have any questions?" Yakumo asked shyly, lowering her head slightly.
"Ah, Kurenai-sensei's teaching was clear." Furin smoothly continued the conversation, prompting Yakumo to explain her genjutsu techniques.
After discussing for a while, Furin feigned an understanding and casually asked, "Yakumo, your genjutsu is amazing! Is there any other secret behind it?"
Yakumo pondered for a moment but, captivated by Furin's handsome face, chose not to hide the truth. She began to recount the unique aspects of her clan's historical bloodline.
Listening intently, Furin was genuinely impressed, causing Yakumo to blush once more.
"Since you've taught me about genjutsu, I can teach you some ninjutsu," Furin offered, extending his hand as if to cast a technique.
As he completed the hand signs, a beautifully crafted ice flower slowly materialized in Yakumo's hand.
Girls often had a weak resistance to flowers, especially when presented by a boy they admired. "Is this your technique, Furin-kun? It's amazing!" Yakumo exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with excitement and a hint of shyness.
Furin's gesture stirred feelings within her heart, causing it to race like a startled deer. Kurama Yakumo's affection for you has increased by 20%!
"I'm curious about your clan's bloodline. Yakumo, could you show me your genjutsu?" Furin asked.
"Sure!" Yakumo, still basking in the joy from receiving the ice flower, readily agreed without hesitation.
Furin smiled, secretly thinking, "If I remember correctly, there's a second personality inside Yakumo, almost like a heart demon…"
