Chapter 33 - Beyond the Rainbow

Seeing Fuyuzora, who had been his subordinate not long ago, now attacking him, Kazahana Roga knew that this battle was a complete failure for him.

Understanding his current situation, Kazahana Roga did not hesitate. He immediately disengaged the chakra armor on his left arm, which was being held by Furen, and withdrew his hand, heading towards the cliff ahead.

Furen glanced at the chakra armor in his hand and, with a slight squeeze, completely crushed it.

"I should have used more strength," Furen muttered.

As Fuyuzora saw Kazahana Roga escape and attempted to give chase, Furen stopped her.

"Go help them find Roga's base and eliminate the remaining forces," Furen said to Fuyuzora.

Without any complaints, Fuyuzora nodded and went to assist the rebel forces.

A buzzing sound echoed.

From below the cliff where Kazahana Roga had just escaped, a large airship slowly rose.

Seeing the airship, Furen turned and swiftly picked up Kazahana Koyuki. "I'll take you to avenge your father."

"Ice Style: Ice Prison Technique," Furen whispered.

Walls of ice began rising from the snowy ground, each taller than the last, leading upward.

With a few leaps between the icy walls, Furen brought Kazahana Koyuki to the airship. Haku followed closely behind.

With a kick, Furen knocked open the cabin door, and they entered the airship.

In the cockpit, Kazahana Roga clenched his fists tightly, urging the pilot to move faster.

Looking back at the rear of the ship, Kazahana Roga's face was filled with unwillingness. "Once we reach the other side of the rainbow..."

After entering the cabin, Furen did not immediately search for Kazahana Roga. Instead, he began rummaging through the airship's collection room, eventually finding a bottle of fine red wine. Furen poured a glass for both Kazahana Koyuki and Haku, and they began tasting it.

"Furen... aren't you going to find Kazahana Roga?" Kazahana Koyuki asked, clearly nervous, as Kazahana Roga was on the same airship as them.

Furen calmly poured a little more wine for Kazahana Koyuki. "It's fine. I know where he's headed."

Hearing this, Kazahana Koyuki gradually calmed down and began savoring the wine Furen handed her.

Finally, the airship slowly descended and came to a stop.

It landed in an area surrounded by massive stone walls on all sides.

Through the glass of the airship, Furen and the others could clearly see Kazahana Roga fleeing toward the center of this stone-enclosed area.

"Let's go, Princess Koyuki," Furen said, reaching out and taking Kazahana Koyuki's hand.

In the center of this massive stone-walled area, there was a device that looked like a furnace, and at its core was a slot shaped like a hexagonal crystal.

This was clearly the treasure of the Kazahana family that Kazahana Roga had been pursuing all along.

Standing with his back to the device, Kazahana Roga called out to the approaching Kazahana Koyuki, "Come, Kazahana Koyuki. This is your final resting place!"

After saying this, Kazahana Roga bent down and retrieved a piece of armor with a Taiji orb from a hidden stone on the ground, attaching it to his left arm, which had been stripped by Furen earlier.

Kazahana Roga had never disclosed to the other snow shinobi that his new-generation chakra armor was hidden here.

"Ice Style: Twin Dragon Storm!"

With nowhere left to retreat, Kazahana Roga roared in fury, forming hand seals with both hands. The Taiji orb that powered his chakra armor activated fully, and two enormous black dragons erupted from his palms!

Powered by the newly recovered chakra armor, the technique was far stronger than before, even stirring up a black tornado!

As the two black dragons surged toward Kazahana Koyuki, Furen stepped in front of her!

"Huff... huff..." Kazahana Roga stared intently at the dust that had been stirred up, eagerly awaiting the moment when the dust settled and revealed the corpses of Furen and the others.

However, his hopes were destined to be crushed.

A sharp kunai was placed at his throat.

"Go, avenge your father," said Furen, who stood unharmed after withstanding Kazahana Roga's technique. He handed Kazahana Koyuki a dagger.

Behind Kazahana Roga stood one of Furen's shadow clones.

With both hands gripping the dagger, Kazahana Koyuki rushed at Kazahana Roga and, with a fierce thrust, avenged her father's death from over a decade ago!

Kazahana Koyuki's favorability rating toward you: 14%

...

With her revenge complete, Kazahana Koyuki leaned on Furen's shoulder, staring at the center of the area, where there was a switch designed to hold the hexagonal crystal.

"Don't you want to see what your father left behind for you?" Furen gently patted Koyuki's head.

Kazahana Koyuki removed the hexagonal crystal pendant from her neck and, following Furen's suggestion, inserted it into the switch.

A beam of purple light shot into the sky. Immediately after, a massive snowflake pattern appeared on the ground, radiating from the device. At each end of the snowflake pattern, the stone walls began to glow with a blue-green light!

The cold temperature surrounding them began to rise rapidly, and the snow on the ground melted away, revealing a lush green landscape that quickly covered the area!

The Land of Snow, which had never seen spring, suddenly transformed into a vibrant, blossoming spring!

"This is..." Kazahana Koyuki covered her mouth, her eyes filled with disbelief.

"This should be the treasure of the Kazahana clan—a massive device that transforms the Land of Snow into spring."
