Chapter 17 - Sakura and Tsunami

Furen looked at the system interface in his mind: Haku's favorability was at 74%. He murmured to himself, "This last bit of favorability will need to sever her ties with Zabuza…"

Always calm and collected, Furen confirmed again that the command he had issued to Zabuza using the Mind Body Chaos Technique still lingered. After practicing for a while, he finally felt at ease to head to Dazna's home in the evening.

Returning to Dazna's house, he found Dazna's daughter, Tsunami, looking dejected and downcast.

Upon seeing Furen return, Tsunami immediately perked up, rushing toward him without bothering to tidy her clothes. "Furen-kun, have you had dinner yet? What would you like me to cook for you?"

After exchanging a few pleasantries with Tsunami, Furen shifted the conversation to Kakashi and the others.

"Furen is back!" Kakashi greeted with a smile, his injuries now fully healed.

As soon as Furen returned, Sakura quickly moved to sit beside him, casting a wary glance at the lonely Tsunami. "Don't even think about stealing my man!" Sakura's eyes were filled with a threatening glare toward Tsunami.

Having observed the scene, Furen smiled and signaled Kakashi to continue.

Kakashi stroked his chin, thinking, "Furen really is quite the handsome one and has such good luck."

Feeling a twinge of envy, he then got back on track, addressing Naruto and Sasuke. "Furen, Naruto, Sasuke, starting tomorrow, you will all help protect Mr. Dazna."

Dazna, who had just come home after a long day, looked at the cold soup in the pot and sighed, glancing at Tsunami, who had been infatuated with Furen.

"Phew—I worked hard today, and we're almost finished with the bridge," Dazna said. As a bridge-building expert, his work was top-notch in both quality and speed.

Kakashi nodded. "Yes, it should be completed according to plan by tomorrow. Kado… shouldn't be able to sit still anymore."

Kakashi's gaze sharpened, clearly troubled by the possibility that Zabuza was still alive.

"Prepare yourselves today, Naruto and Sasuke. We'll set out tomorrow," Kakashi said with a smile before heading off to rest.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Dazna all returned to their rooms, knowing tomorrow's journey wouldn't be smooth sailing.

In the room, only Sakura and Tsunami remained, both looking at Furen, each harboring their own thoughts.

Seeing that Tsunami wouldn't leave, Sakura's inner self was in turmoil, yelling, "Stay calm, stay calm… No way! This ugly woman needs to get away! Furen is mine!!"

Tsunami wasn't one to back down either and shot back, "Furen-kun, I have a room all set up next door that's been empty for a long time. You can…"

"What are you thinking? Furen-kun needs to plan for tomorrow tonight—there's no time for anything else." Sakura interjected, then grabbed Tsunami and dragged her out, leaving Furen alone in the room.

Once outside, Sakura exhaled, a bit disappointed she couldn't seize the chance to spend the night with Furen. But glancing at Tsunami beside her made it feel worthwhile.

"Furen is mine!" Sakura whispered threateningly to Tsunami.

The two girls began to argue outside.

The next morning, Kakashi led Team 7 and Dazna toward the bridge.

At the same time, in Zabuza's secluded location, news from Kado arrived: "The attack will happen today."

Zabuza straightened up in bed. Though his injuries weren't fully healed, he was about 70% better. Picking up his decapitating sword, Zabuza kicked open the door and stepped outside.

Behind him, Haku wore a complex expression as she gazed at her mask for a moment before finally putting it on and following him.

At the bridge under construction, Kakashi's group, including Furen, had just arrived when they saw some bridge workers lying on the ground, covered in blood.

Dazna rushed forward, dropping everything he was holding. "What… happened here?!" he shouted. "What's going on?"

Kakashi didn't approach the injured workers but kept a wary eye on the increasingly thick fog surrounding them.

"That guy… really isn't dead after all," Kakashi said, revealing his Sharingan, his expression serious.

"Long time no see, Hatake Kakashi."

Zabuza's voice echoed through the mist.
