Chapter 23 - Entering the lighthouse

Wu Heng slowly took a few steps forward, gently took off the family portrait and observed carefully:

On the left is a happy little girl with twin ponytails, a little baby fat, delicate facial features, and a smart and cute look.

She held the arm of the middle-aged woman with long hair, a thin figure, wrinkled eyes and a smiling face.

Wu Heng, who was a head taller than the two of them, stood on the right with a grin, and put his right hand around the middle-aged woman's shoulder.

This is a photo taken three years ago.

Wu Heng looked at it for a while, then came to his bedroom in memory and opened the door.

The bedroom has an off-white wardrobe against the wall, a matching desk, a soft bed and a bedside table, and nothing else.

If you ignore the mess of clothes in the corner and the scattered wads of paper towels on the floor, the whole room still looks pretty neat.

Wu Heng threw the ball of clothes into the trash can outside, then locked the living room door and his room door tightly, walked to the bedside table, and used the charger to charge the dead mobile phone in his pocket.

After putting on the doctor's holster, he found a black mask and put it on. With a thought, he touched the lighthouse mark on his arm:

[Whether to enter the lighthouse]

"yes"

Wu Heng's eyes changed, and in an instant he had arrived at a wide square.

There was deep darkness in the sky, and the flat black floor beneath my feet.

There is a towering lighthouse in the center of the square.

The tower body carries a strong atmosphere of time, and from time to time there is a blood-colored stream of light like water waves, swimming around the tower body.

The top of the tower continuously rotates and emits warm light, which shines within the square and dispels the surrounding dense darkness.

Wu Heng stared into the distance. At the edge of the light, the light seemed to be offsetting the darkness, floating back and forth and resisting within a short distance of the edge of the light.

But there were some tiny beams of light that penetrated the darkness, reflecting small paths woven with warm light. There were mini lighthouses on both sides of the path.

It is said to be a small lighthouse, but based on the distance and height, it is several stories high.

The small lighthouse also emits a faint light, like a candle lit in the dark.

The entire lighthouse group looked like a huge burning beacon tower in the darkness. Along the edge of the beacon tower, rows of candles were lit, extending the range of light even further.

In the endless darkness in the distance, soul-shaking roars could be heard from time to time, as well as heavy footsteps, and various strange screams and hisses.

Wu Heng could even feel that there seemed to be something wandering around in the darkness around the light of the lighthouse.

But all this was isolated by the light of the lighthouse, as if forming a safety shield.

Wu Heng withdrew his gaze and observed the people in the square.

There were not many people in the square. Most of them were wearing various disguises and hurried away alone.

There were also some people wearing the same badges or wearing the same uniforms. They gathered in small groups and were obviously members of several different organizations. Their conversations were also kept low.

There are also some weird-looking people, some with grimaces, some wearing mourning clothes without faces, some hanging in mid-air, some crawling on their backs, some as slender as lampposts, or some looking like zombies.

Ordinary people wearing masks and disguises are walking around when they see these weird people.

Near the core under the main lighthouse, there are tables arranged in a circle. There are only a few "people" with strange characteristics sitting behind a few tables.

There is a sign on every table.

'The Crow will recruit people, and you can join Wusheng Tower. Those who are interested will wait where they are. The inspector will arrive at 22:00 every day at Blue Star Time. '

The following is an introduction to the Crow Society: The Crow Society was built by Crow, the owner of the Wusheng Tower, in the year 2124 of the Blue Star Calendar, with more than 100 members.

"The Secret Alliance recruits people, specializes in the ancient world, and only recruits people from the bright world."

"The Cangyue Alliance recruits people, and newbies can get a full set of Cangyue Star standard single-player firepower equipment for free..."

There are rows of recruitment billboards on the table.

Wu Heng was observing when a man wearing a Taoist priest's uniform, carrying a mahogany sword and a money mask suddenly appeared next to him.

This man has a handsome figure and a strong and fearless aura.

Not like a Taoist priest, more like a swordsman!

He seemed to realize something. He turned around and saw Wu Heng staring at him. He smiled slightly, cupped his hands and said:

"Brother, Duanmu Mizuo is down here. He just passed through a dungeon and entered the lighthouse for the first time. Nice to meet you."

"Oh, nice to meet you. It's my first time entering the lighthouse."

Wu Heng looked at Duanmu Ruixiong's outfit. He was also a man who had a chance, but he didn't know which Taoist priest world he had entered.

The curious look of the two people looking around at the environment was too obvious compared to the others walking away in a hurry.

After some people noticed it, they all gathered around.

"Are you newbies? Do you want the "Lighthouse Encyclopedia"? It's compiled by the master of the Ghost Tower. It's a must-have for newbies. It also comes with a booklet of information."

A woman wearing a black robe and a white mask asked, holding a book.

"Newcomers, "1000 Detailed Information on Lighthouses" can answer all your questions. Those certified by the Doll Tower Master will also send information."

Another man wearing a gorilla hood said while holding a set of books.

"Two Hours for You to Get to Know the Lighthouse", "Three Thousand Questions about the Lighthouse"...

A group of people took the information compiled by their respective tower masters and made recommendations.

"How are they sold?" Wu Heng asked.

"100 survival points!"

"Same."

They are all the same price, there is no malicious competition to reduce prices.

"You, you, you stay, there is no need for the others." Duanmu Ruixiong waved his hand and clicked through all five of them that were said to have information.

"Brother, in the lighthouse space, intelligence is king. This is not the time to be stingy. Only those who give will be rewarded."

Duanmu Ruixiong held the five brochures and intelligence letters he bought in his hand, raised them, and said to Wu Heng.

"Well, what Brother Duanmu said makes sense, but I am short of money and can only buy two copies."

"What a pity." Hearing this, Duanmu Ruixiong glanced at Wu Heng regretfully and sighed in disappointment.

Wu Heng chose to buy "100 Detailed Explanations of Lighthouses" and "Encyclopedia of Lighthouses".

Because these two people stood at the front of the crowd, others obviously did not dare to push them.

Wu Heng held the two brochures in his hands, comparing them with each other and flipping through them casually:

"The light range of the main lighthouse is a safe zone."

"Teleporting to the plot world will randomly occur within a 500-mile radius of the protagonist of the plot."

"The dark area outside the lighthouse is called the 'mysterious area', and anyone who enters it will die."

"Every 12 fixed dungeon months is the 'Lights Out Day'. All tower keepers will enter a large horror dungeon. There is a death indicator. There are only three and a half dungeon months left for the next 'Lights Out Day'."

After Wu Heng glanced at it twice, he planned to go back and take a look, and then continue shopping around. The people who were still selling next to him saw that Wu Heng had no intention of continuing to buy, and were about to leave.

'She sheds light, she sheds light. '

'As if. Like stars shining;'

A burst of Cantonese singing accompaniment suddenly sounded from a hundred meters behind Wu Heng and the others.

Wu Heng recognized immediately that this was the accompaniment song "The Creepy Bride" of "Zombie Taoist Priest".
