Sora a high school junior student never thought she would ever fall in love as an antiromantic person. The fear, anxiety, and stress are at the highest level she had ever experienced till now. Seriously, life is done for her.
The weather in Seoul was a bit gloomy that day. It was the start of March and high school. It was 7.30 am. Sora put the alarm clock far away so that if it rang she had to get up to put it off. And still, sometimes she's so deep in the sleep that she couldn't hear it.
"Sora get up now and don't set the alarm if you are not even going to shut it down." Her mother screamed at her from the living room. After listening to her mother she was not only wide awake but already went to shower. Only her mom can make her get up quickly.
Sora was a junior at Nawon High School. She was good in academics. She loved to study cause she was only good at it. She wanted to try sports cause she was not physically fit. Everything else is just not in her interest. It was what she said but she leaves her interest if she is not good at it. She has a personality to give up easily.
After getting up at 7.45 am, as a professional teenage high schooler she got ready in 20 min and rushed towards school. She screamed, "I'm leaving for school Mom" and left.
The school was within walking distance. She was walking slowly. She always walked alone. She got a habit of humming songs. So the distance will pass quickly and she won't feel lonely.
She thought the first period was just gonna past quickly with introductions and syllabus and a bit of motivational speech from the homeroom teacher. And all of this was not interesting enough to make her excited.
Even though Sora was an introvert, she had really good female friends. Well, she only had female friends since she was born. Not because she was scared of guys but because she hated guys. None of her friends knew the reason behind it. They just knew something happened in the past and it made her hate them.
Nawon High School was coed before but due to the increase in population density in that area and popularity, they divided the school gender-wise. The campus was big so two separate buildings were made separate for male and female students. The whole campus was one, only two different buildings and two separate entrance gate for girls and boys. teachers can come by any entrance. The auditorium was in the middle of two buildings so rarely students had the chance to meet each other except common event or exams.
Sora went to her class from the back door. It was an all-girl class. She breathed and thought to herself, " This is what comfort is! Not a single boy in the class. I can do whatever, sit however I like, sing, dance. Haaaaaa!!!" She was proud of herself. She scanned the class and saw her friends sitting at the back and near the window.
" Sora, come here. We kept this sit for you." Naeun said while waving at her. Sora while hugging and laughing said, " Long time no see bro. I missed you." to Naeun. After a few minutes, Dari and Nuri came. They were twins and we had been together since the first day of high school. Sora loved her friends. When she was with them, she felt a sense of belonging.
Classes started and Sora and her friends had a lot of things to talk about but they controlled themselves and focused on the class. In recess, they had a common lunch at school.
After lunch, all four came back to class. In middle Sora meets one of her cousins at school. " Sora, we will go ahead in class you come after chatting with her," Dari said and left. While Sora was talking to her, the cousin's homeroom teacher called her and said, " Aera, help me out here. And bring your friend also." while pointing at Sora.
The sports uniform for Nawon High is given by the school. So this year, they changed the design of sports uniforms. All the parcels were delivered before school started but was yet to be checked. They were gonna distribute them on the first day. While sorting them, they realized two parcels were extra and were of boys. So the teacher asked us to deliver them to the boys building.
It was the worst Sora can ask for. She looked at Aera with furious eyes. The teacher said, "I'll come with you." Sora said," Aera I don't want to go to that building. Not even in my dreams." Aera said," Sora I need to be good in the teacher's eyes. You know I'm not good at studying. I'll treat you to dessert. Don't worry everyone will be in the classroom. Their break is shorter than ours."
Sora was trying to keep herself calm. Both of them took those boxes. They were a bit heavy. They came down the building and were about to pass the auditorium. The moment they heard the sound of laughing, cheering, and playing they realized that lunch break was still not over. Both of them looked at each other with an anxious look.
The moment they passed the auditorium and entered the mini garden ground, the whole building suddenly went silent. That was the moment Sora thought, "Is it okay? I think I'm gonna get doomed."
