Chapter 88: Unlocking New Abilities

Crisitian replied, "This is something you need to experience for yourself. Remember, playing a role is an important experience for a Beyonder. Others' opinions are just for reference; you must form your own understanding of potions and Beyonder abilities."

Hobert left the study, deep in thought, and returned to his bedroom. He contemplated Cristian's words before eagerly entering the Nation of Disorder.

As soon as he entered the Nation of Disorder, Hobert felt the difference. His spirituality seemed to support him for one or two hours within the Sefirrah.

He could also use the Sacrifice Gate to retrieve items with weaker spirituality, and he could handle two to three sacrifices at once.

However, this situation should be unlikely, as he currently had only one "Follower"—oh, including himself, that made two.

Next, Hobert noticed that the vague figure he had trapped in the pool was becoming clearer; it was evident that the figure was a young male.

This surprised Hobert. Even after trapping the figure in the pool, the curse hadn't been resolved, and now that Hobert had become stronger, the figure seemed to have become more substantial and powerful.

Hobert feared that one day the figure would crawl out of the pool and sit on the Iron Throne, thereby taking control of the Nation of Disorder!

Fortunately, after Hobert's promotion, he had increased control over the Nation of Disorder. The vague figure showed no signs of breaking free for now.

He needed to investigate the family curse as soon as possible! Hobert thought to himself; this curse was like a ticking time bomb.

After calming himself, Hobert projected his spirituality and discovered that the entire mountain where the Iron Throne was located was under his control.

In the middle of the mountain, there was a small grove of trees. Previously, when it wasn't under Hobert's control, the grove seemed unremarkable.

However, now Hobert sensed something unusual about the trees.

Hobert stood up and took a step closer to the trees, which seemed to remain unchanged despite the passage of time.

He reached out, and a branch appeared in his hand.

His spirituality immediately sensed the branch's ability; it was a one-time magical item!

First, a spell had to be pre-set for activation. When using it, one must channel their spiritual power into it and chant the spell. The branch would then grow into a large tree.

The holder could manipulate the order beneath the tree's canopy, making the area advantageous to themselves and disadvantageous to opponents, while also distorting the targets of opponents' attacks and Beyonder abilities.

The tree would exist for ten minutes, after which it would quickly wither and return to being an ordinary branch.

As Hobert leveled up, the duration and range of the tree's existence would gradually increase.

After the tree withered, another branch would sprout from one of the trees in the Nation of Disorder, keeping the order's power within the Sefirah constant.

If he completely controlled the Nation of Disorder, these branches would become reusable magical items. However, before that, if he used a branch outside, there would be a very small chance of it regrowing in this grove, effectively meaning that one used branch would equal one less branch.

Still, this was a significant advantage, giving Hobert another trump card.

Hobert looked at the branch in his hand and wondered how he could take it out for use. He couldn't just carry a branch around everywhere, could he?

Did he need to bring the branch to court for a defense? The image was almost comical, and during battles, enemies would definitely notice the branch and prepare against it.

Hobert pondered. After some experimentation, he found that the branch could indeed change shape.

Eventually, Hobert transformed it into processed ebony. After leaving the Nation of Disorder, he could try attaching the metal tip of his cane to the reshaped branch.

Returning to the Iron Throne, Hobert named the branch "Wood of Order," with the activation spell set as "Order"!

Soon, he planned to take the "Wood of Order" outside through a bestowal.

Looking at the scattered sky in the Nation of Disorder, Hobert suddenly had the idea of constructing a grand hall here; it felt unseemly for a Creator to work in the wilderness.

Thus, a huge hall rose from the ground, placing the Iron Throne on a high platform inside, making Hobert appear especially imposing.

The pool in front of the Iron Throne resembled an ancient emperor's water basin for discussions with ministers, enhancing Hobert's mystery and sense of distance.

As the grand hall was about to cross over the pool, it suddenly halted.

Hobert sighed. With his current capabilities in the Nation of Disorder, he could only build this much.

Thus, the Creator's palace was left unfinished, and he would have to wait until he advanced to Sequence 7 to continue building.

Fortunately, there was no one else here, so Hobert didn't feel embarrassed.

Finally, Hobert discovered that his true vision projected through the stars had increased several times. Previously, he could only see the scenes near Elliot and Raft, but now he could extend his view to seven or eight meters.

Having clarified the changes in the Nation of Disorder, Hobert used the bestowal method to obtain the "Wood of Order." He felt his spirituality was almost exhausted and quickly entered a meditative state to recover it.

In these first few days after consuming the potion, exhausting his spirituality was extremely dangerous.

On Sunday, Hobert slept in. Feeling both his physical and spiritual energy replenished, he went to the tool room to get some carpentry tools. He carefully removed the metal tip from his cane and reattached it to the "Wood of Order."

After sanding it down to remove any installation marks, Hobert lifted the cane to inspect it; his craftsmanship was excellent, and it was impossible to tell it had been modified.

After lunch, Hobert took the family carriage to the mercenary club for the Beyonder gathering.

Just as he had anticipated from the previous week, this week's gathering was filled with many mercenaries selling magical items. They had made significant gains recently and would continue to be the main attraction in the gatherings for weeks to come.

As he was lost in thought, a mercenary stood up. "I have a magical item for sale."

As he spoke, he produced a small piece of a candle wrapped in what looked like human skin. The wick was about a finger's length, entirely black, with finely detailed, scale-like patterns.

Hobert immediately sat up straight.

The mercenary continued, "This candle can help you enter your opponent's mind. It's great for interrogation, but be careful not to use it for too long, as the holder can easily get lost in the mind's world!"

Hobert fixated on the small piece of candle; it was truly the Mental Terror Candle!

Sequence 8 was here, and things were about to get interesting!
