I finish carving the scabbard and put it aside for now, put the sword in my lap and enter the inner world. When I look at the sword with the inner sight it looks like it's made of mana, there are so many mana dots that it's hard to separate them. This is definitely going to take a while, but I don't plan to do it the same way I did with Ruby's swords.
I turn my attention to my own core and start to chip away at it, but this time I collect the fragments that break off instead of letting my body absorb them. Once I have what I consider to be a decent amount, I begin to move them down my body to the tip of my finger resting on the hilt of the sword. Pulling the shards out of my body hurts enough to make me scream, but I keep going until all the shards are in the hilt of the sword.
