Stepping through the shimmering portal felt like walking through the heart of a star. The crew of the Eternal Voyager found themselves momentarily blinded by the brilliance surrounding them, but as their vision adjusted, they stood in awe of the Citadel of Eternity. The space was not so much a building as it was a living construct—columns of light rose into infinity, forming walls and arches that shimmered and shifted with every breath, as though reality itself pulsed in rhythm with the Citadel.
The floor beneath them was smooth, made from a material that looked like liquid silver yet felt solid underfoot. Streams of light flowed through the floor and walls, coursing like rivers of energy. Above them, the sky was not a sky at all but a vast expanse of swirling galaxies and nebulae, as if they were standing at the edge of creation itself.
