Chapter 97 - Deception

As the Realm Lord and his family stepped through the doorway, the air thickened with an ominous presence, the anticipation for the second trial hanging in the air like a tangible force. The fifth floor had already proven to be more than they expected, but this next stage felt even more foreboding. The darkness around them deepened as they moved, and soon they found themselves in a new chamber, smaller but somehow even more unsettling than the coliseum.

The walls here seemed alive, pulsing faintly with every breath they took. Strange runes adorned the surfaces, glowing with an eerie light that flickered sporadically, as though trying to communicate something just out of reach. There was no sound, not even the usual hum of the Tower's energy—only silence.

"This floor reeks of deception," Selene muttered, her eyes scanning the room warily. "Whatever challenge awaits us here, it's not as straightforward as combat."
