As soon as Ruhani mentioned creating a mutual Instagram ID to Aakriti, Aakriti failed to comprehend, taken aback by Ruhani's sudden suggestion during their movie marathon.
Confused, Aakriti asked, "Mutual Instagram ID? I didn't get what you're trying to say."
Ruhani turned to Aakriti and clarified, "It means we'll have a shared ID, just for the two of us."
Aakriti playfully slapped her forehead. "I didn't ask for a translation, madam; I knew that much. But you sprang this on me out of nowhere."
Ruhani explained, "Okay, let me clarify. This idea struck me while watching the movie. You know how much I adore Harry Potter, and you've grown fond of it too. It's one of our favorite 90s movies. Why not create a mutual Instagram ID related to the 90s? We'll use it together and keep it public. What do you think?"
Aakriti loved Ruhani's idea and nodded enthusiastically. "I like it, but what will we post?"
Ruhani replied, "Obviously, 90s-related content! Quotes, funny images, or anything from that era. We'll also share stories about our friendship."
Aakriti excitedly agreed, "Okay, let's do it!"
Ruhani nodded enthusiastically, "But we won't reveal our real names or faces on this ID."
Aakriti understood but asked, "Why's that?"
Ruhani clarified, "Just consider this ID a fan page for 90s kids, run by two friends. We already have our private IDs with our real names, so we'll use pseudonyms here. We won't be Ruhani and Aakriti; we'll be someone else."
Aakriti found this thrilling and suggested, "We won't show our faces, but we can post cropped photos. Once we gain a good following, we can reveal our identities."
Ruhani playfully teased, "Oh, so you want to be an influencer!"
They both burst into laughter. However, Ruhani's true intention wasn't to become an influencer. The past year had been tumultuous, and she had distanced herself from many things. This ID was her way of reconnecting, anonymously.
Ruhani's desire to reclaim her past self had resurfaced, and she wanted to shift her focus away from painful memories. As Aakriti shared her ideas, Ruhani pulled out her phone and started creating a new Instagram ID.
They decided on the username 'The 90s Girls' and uploaded a 90s-themed profile picture.
When it came to filling in their names, Aakriti exclaimed, "We've created the ID, but we haven't even thought of our names!"
Ruhani agreed, "You're right, we didn't think of that."
Both friends brainstormed names related to their nature and personality. After some deliberation, Ruhan'i suggested, "Why not choose names that reflect our personalities?" Akriti agreed.
However, neither could think of suitable names. Aakriti admitted, "I'm drawing a blank."
Ruhani shared her frustration, "Same here."
Then, Ruhani proposed, "Let's do this – you suggest a name based on my personality, and I'll do the same for you."
Aakriti liked Ruhani's idea, and they began brainstorming names for each other.
Ruhani started, "I've thought of your name!"
Aakriti's eyes sparkled. "What is it? Tell me!"
Ruhani smiled, hugging Aakriti affectionately. "You're my queen, so QueenBee!"
Akriti giggled, intrigued. "I've heard of Honey Bee, but what's Queen Bee mean?"
Ruhani explained, her eyes shining, "You're the queen of honey bees, my sweetest friend, sweeter than honey."
They both erupted into laughter.
Next, Ruhani prompted Aakriti, "Now, what's my name?"
Aakriti gazed lovingly at Ruhani. "HappyPill!"
Ruhani's expression turned neutral, but Aakriti's gentle touch on her cheek softened her.
Aakriti whispered, "You're my happiness, and everyone's joy pill."
Their eyes locked, and emotions swelled. Ruhani smiled, her voice trembling. "Alright, names decided then."
With that, Ruhani filled in their names on the ID. Once done, they collaborated to follow other 90s-themed IDs, hoping for follow-backs and growing their followers.
