It was a harsh winter, a slave who has escaped was walking through it. Wearing only a rag made made vulnerable and collapses on the thick ground of snow. He accepts his death right here and right now. Not until then a figure was getting close from him. It was a man, having a long beard and looks in a age of thirties.
He looks down at the boy and squats down, checking on his vitals. When he realizes the boy was still alive and was fighting against death, he quickly takes him to his house.
Then the boy feels comfortable and relief when he feels the warm fire and the soft bed in his bare skin. The mans name was thorfinn, a retired mage. After sometime, thorfinn does everything to recover the boy at his well condition.
The boy opens his eyes for a bit, he looks at thorfinn with a vulnerable look. He smiles and thanks at thorfinn and tells him his name. The boy say his name softly, and his name is Vernon as he falls asleep from exhaustion.
In the morning, thorfinn uses his flame magic to melt the snow that's blocking his path. He then uses an axe to chop wood, he prefers to be physical to maintain his good physical condition since he's getting old. As for Vernon, he wakes up and sits on the edge of the bed, he stares through the window and tears up. He thought he will die from the harsh winter and he already lost hope in that moment not until thorfinn came. He was also relieved thorfinn was a kind man. He notices a bread and a warm milk above the drawer made for him.
He eats the breakfast hungrily, first time tasting a good food. After he was done, he decides to walk around the house, but once he gets out of the bedz thorfinn comes inside. Thorfinn gives him a nod and heads to his kitchen. Vernon follows thorfinn around the house, watching thorfinn work.
Thorfinn was bothered from what Vernon was doing. He thinks for a moment and had a bright idea. Since he knew Vernon is a slave, he hands Vernon a book for some simple knowledge. Vernon starts getting busy, reading the book patiently and quiet, flipping pages as he finishes one. The house was quiet yet thorfinn isn't alone anymore, it feels different in a good way for him, knowing he isn't alone. He smiles softly while chopping potatoes, planning on cooking potato soup.
He felt his clothes is pulled repeatingly, it was Vernon, curious of what thorfinn is doing. Thorfinn gives Vernon a gentle pat on his head before getting back from cooking. As the potato soup is settled, thorfinn now plans to clean Vernon. He carries Vernon to the bath tub, Vernon was surprised and resisting from getting put in there. Shaking as he feels the cold water, thorfinn remained gentle as he tries to clean Vernon. Scrubbing his body with a good scent from the soup, making Vernon smell like flowers. After Vernon is nicely cleaned up and given new oversized clothes from thorfinn, the two begins to eat dinner peacefully.
One day, thorfinn was usually chopping trees in the morning, while Vernon is left in the house cleaning and getting water from the well. He hears the voice of thorfinn, calling out his name. He heads outside and ran towards the sound. The trees were unusual and dark, compared from he run passed to. A tall dark figure rises up slowly Infront of him. He looks up with shock, as he wets his pants, feeling a heavy fear. Thorfinn gets in time and puts Vernon behind him, thorfinn was looking at the dark figure like a usual person. Fearless and unbothered from the cold atmosphere. The dark figure shows its sharp teeth and charges at thorfinn. Thorfinn swings his normal axe in the air, the dark figure was confused, until it's head falls off before it noticed it. Thorfinn steps on the head and crushes it. After that, he checks on Vernon if he's well and not hurt.
The sky began to turn dark, as a large red beacon emerges just from a mile away from them. Thorfinn looked at it with disbelief, the two stared at the beacon still.
Thorfinn shouts-
"This can't be!!, the heroes failed!!!!"
Thorfinn carries Vernon and runs back to his house. Taking everything he needs from the house. He summons a six legged golem and escapes while bringing Vernon with him. Vernon doesn't understand what's happening, as he feels the rain, the sky rained blood as Vernon shouts from fears. Thorfinn tasted the blood, knowing it's a royals blood, he grits his teeth and curses inside his mind.
"Damn it!, it's a royals blood!, those heroes do failed...what did they even do...
From a far....
Lucas everdeed, a royal prince of gibton sees the abyssal beacon, he frowned and grits his teeth. He brings his assistant named raven, a loyal servant and a lancer to accompany him. Lucas jumps through the window with raven. The king of gibton, alras sees the beacon and calls out his the maids to warn Lucas, his son. As they went to Lucas's room, Lucas and raven isn't even inside, they panicked and told king alras.
As the people of gibton kingdom looks at the abyssal beacon with confusion. The dark cloud that pours blood as rain gets to their area. While Lucas calls out his griffin to take them towards the location of the beacon.
Back from thorfinn and Vernon, Vernon watches the other villagers rush while packing their things.
They are fully aware that what's happening means the heroes of Marino failed to stop the demon king. Abyssal monsters started coming out of the beacon as they rampages, murdering animals and living things in sight.
Raven tasted a drip of the blood rain, he was shocked and told Lucas that it's the blood of the royals, sweet instead of being salty.
Raven tells Lucas what he knows of the taste of the blood rain-
"The blood rains taste is sweet, your highness, the heroes must had been the sacrificial lambs to open the portal of abyss!"
Lucas looks back at raven and speaks loudly-
"We need to think of a plan!, we'll based on time too, the portal hasn't opened fully!, so I recommend we go all out, it's not just for our kingdom!, it's for our terra too, we'll also have a meer up point!"
"Meet up point?!" Raven asked with confusion.
Raven sees elves are on the move and also dwarves with flying ships are headed also to the beacon's location.
Lucas looks at the races with a wide smile on his face.
"Your highness!, how did they-
Raven asked before he was cut off by Lucas enthusiastically.
"I talked about this with them!, this is the plan B, also, this is the reason why I always leave the kingdom alone!, making peace with other races and getting their alliances."
The flying ships of the dwarves lands slowly on their meet up spot and takes the elves for a ride. The griffin lands on the dwarves general ship, they were greeted by aavier, general of the dwarves. The king of the elves arrives as well, named Klaus, as they now plan. The general and the king listens to Lucas's strategy, their army is going to hold the Frontline and pushed as they can make a way for Lucas and the others. Aazier will be left on the battlefield with a elven and the dwarf army because of his morale boost a d fearless leading in battle. Klaus will be joining Lucas and raven, being their eyes when they are unaware of they surroundings.
Lucas and raven will do the final part, defeating the demon king and stop the portal.
As the armies charges against the abyssal monsters and holds the frontline for the three riding a griffin. Other flying creatures of the abyss attacks them but they were covered by the flying ship's energy cannons, hitting the creatures accurate. As they passed through, they jumped off the griffin and heads inside the labyrinth.
They saw the heroes, dismembered and eaten, while the female priest was still alive, while her eyes were taken out and limbless. Lucas covers his mouth and forces himself not to vomit. Klaus helps Lucas gets to his composure and just focus on his plan. The three heads to the main location, seeing the demon king at its peak form and wielding it's sword and stares at them coldly.
The demon king, Lucas was high on guard, throwing a purple flame bolt at it. The demon king was behind them already, punching raven and Lucas, seperating them. Klaus shoots it with his magic wind arrow that's faster than a blink of an eye. The demon catches his arrows bare handed without looking, it tries to attack him with a fist Klaus but Aazier was on time to block it. Then the blacksmith of agarndel named vowl and the elemental female sorcerer named Agatha arrived.
Now it's one against six, vowl throws the first attack, slamming his hammer on the ground, causing magma spikes to emerge. The demon king swiftly dodge it while Agatha uses a flame projectile at it. The demon king absorbed her attacks and becomes stronger, Aazier and vowl attacks the demon king, Aazier swinging his giant axe and vowl swinging his hammer. They missed and gets hit by the demon king's punches and kicks. Agatha takes advantage at it's lack of awareness in a second. Trapping its legs on a thick mud and hardens up. Unable to move, Lucas puts his mana energy on his right hand, punching the demon king's face solid. A crack on the demon king's face shows up.
"Oh, yeah!!, how'd you like that coming from a royal delinquent!!" Lucas shouted as he flips a middle finger at it.
The demon king shouted, making the labyrinth shatter whole, the debris starts floating on the air, Lucas and the others were knocked back and landing painfully on some debris. Raven uses his lance and stabs the demon king, but he was quickly slapped away, Aazier and Vowl slams smashes their heavy weapons on top of the demon king's head. Agatha combines water and fire creating electric, stunning the demon king. Below the immobilized demon king was Lucas, putting his anger into his right arm, blazing red, he punches the demon king hard. As explosions happened, Lucas gets out and watches the thick smoke.
Then, got more stronger, punching Aazier and Vowl, sending them flying. Agatha covers herself with rocks as her protection, but the demon king kicks her away. The demon continues to beat up the six. Not letting them stand or fight back. Lucas tries to parry the demon king's punches, but it was too quick and strong. As the demon king grabs Lucas's throat, Klaus lands five arrows on its back. Unaffected, raven follows up with a swing of his lance. The demon king disappears with Lucas, they were already behind Klaus, Lucas shouts forcefully despite of barely breathing, Klaus was late to react and got kick on the chest. Klaus got his ribs broken and unable to move while he coughs blood. The demon king, grabs raven and Lucas and slams them, dragged them around in the debris.
The demon king gaves them a small smile before it throws them opposite sides.
A random male soldier of the dwarves, rescues the limbless priest, he carries her while being wrapped in a cloth. He sees the six, all taken down in a minute without difficulty.
From the smoke, Lucas emerges, walking slowly while wiping a blood trickling on the side of his mouth.
"You're really are indeed a ugly monster, you're so strong too." Lucas gives him a mocking smile.
Raven walks towards the demon king aswell.
"You're right there, Lucas, he exchanged his humanity for power, also, becoming a real monster everyone hates." Raven smiles aswell, as Lucas and raven laughs softly in a serious situation.
The demon king laughs softly and spoke-
"You think childish mockery can hurt me mentally?"
The two laughs at the demon king even more, Lucas then stares at it coldly and said-
"No...no, it's just...we knew we aren't alone."
The two then disappears, changing side and attacks the demon king at the same time. The demon king was surprised, but it caught Lucas's fist and the tip of raven's lance.
The demon king spoke with a shaky voice, clearly excited from this unexpected escalation-
"This...is getting interesting, humans, were you just warming up?"
The Lucas becomes dead serious while raven gives the demon king a psychopathic smile.
Lucas's body glows into cyan with black cursed marks, embracing the dragons cursed of his family.
Raven's eyes bleeds, his pupils turned red and black around it. While the left side of his back, grows a demonic wing made out of his own blood, also has become bloodlusted far from his quiet, composed self.
Lucas and raven puts up a nonstop assault against the demon king. Destroying everything where they fight. Lucas putting the demon king at a hand to hand combat, while raven laughs hysterically while landing a piercing strike on its stomach.
The demon king groans in pain, while Lucas gives it's face a painful left hook to shut the demon king up. Raven's laugh echoes while Lucas was dead quiet, chasing the demon king. Every attacks were synchronized, showing the two had great chemistry since they grew up close to each other.
Meanwhile, thorfinn and Vernon watches some villages burn from afar. Vernon cries, seeing the cruel events, people getting slaughtered by the abyssal monsters. There was nothing they can do but only watch. Vernon tightens his fist from anger.
"When I grow up!...I'll protect the innocent people from evil, and I shall show no mercy against them!"
Vernon shouted while crying.
Thorfinn pats his head, he geves Vernon a smile and said-
"You will, some day, kid...someday."
Back from the fearsome battle with Lucas and raven against the demon king, Lucas repeating punches it with his "iron fist of dragon." While raven swings a powerful slash made out of his blood called "Human's cutter."
The demon king was overwhelmed, it pulls out a spear and shouted-
"Alright!!, come at me you two!!"
The two charges at the demon king with lightning speed.
Agatha regains consciousness and stands up, she checks on Klaus and heals him as she can with water magic. Aazier and vowl regains consciousness as well, still dizzy and wobbling around. The beacon then fades away, giant roots emerges from the ground and formed a gigantic tree. Lucas and raven looks up at the tree, confused. While the demon king was bleeding and in a bad state, it ran towards the tree. The two chases after it, Agatha catches up to them with her broom and tells them what is the tree.
"raven!!, Lucas!!, you need to stop it, the giant tree contains the magnificent fruit, grants superior strength and knowledge also a power of god. If you let it eat it, the war won't end early as you planned!!"
Lucas then tells raven to guard the lower ground as he can see the abyssal monsters charging at them. Raven agrees and decides to go ahead from Lucas and makes a path for Lucas. Slaughtering the abyssal monsters as raven laughs.
Lucas's speed reached peak and gets on top of the tree quickly. The demon king grabs the magnificent fruit and was about to bite it. Lucas punches the demon king, and grabs the steals the apple from it.
The demon king now felt fear for the first time and gets frustrated.
But then, the tree grows more magnificent fruits everywhere. But Lucas then focuses, channeling his limitless energy. His surroundings started melting away and the demon king gets burned from the distance.
Lucas then shouts, releasing a powerful shockwave and turned the giant tree into ashes. The demon king crawls away, screaming while getting burned. Lucas then steps on the demon king's chest and crushes it, turning it also into ashes.
After that, the sky became bright again, the abyssal monsters suddenly collapsed from where they're standing. Every kingdom and villagers celebrates as the evil withered away. Lucas turns back into his normal color and breathes softly. Relief and exhausted, he sits down on a rock and stares at the rising sun. Raven then joins him beside, also back to his human state. Aazier, vowl, Agatha and Klaus who's fully healed up, stares at them with a smile. Lucas sees them and approaches them, he bows his head and thanks whole heartedly for helping them out.
Lucas smiles and they laughed at each other. Raven also reminds him that they're in the middle of the crater that Lucas made. Lucas covers raven's mouth and gets furious.
"Oh, really?!, so we're noticing destructions I've cost instead of what I did!"
Lucas shouts at raven childishly.
Lucas and raven wrestles each other, fighting like children.
They forgot that they're being watched by the four.
"I sometimes can't believe that these two young brats are one of the strongest..."
Klaus said while scratching his head.
