Chapter 50 - AFTERMATH.

The sun hung low in the sky, casting a golden hue over the battlefield. Maria stood tall, her sword gleaming in the fading light as she surveyed the aftermath of the brutal battle. Bodies littered the ground, a grim testament to the violence that had erupted between her and Ocen.

Ocen lay defeated at Maria's feet, his once proud armor now stained with blood. He had been a formidable opponent, his strength and cunning nearly matching her own. But in the end, Maria had emerged victorious, freeing the kidnapped children that Ocen had turned into weapons of war.

Amun'ra, the cruel mastermind behind the children's transformation, watched from afar his cave with a scowl on his face. His plan had been foiled by Maria, her powers proving too great for even his twisted technology to control.

As Maria eye's gazed at the children, a sense of relief washed over her. She had saved them from a fate worse than death, although she didn't manage to save all of them from the cruel fate but atlease gave the lucky ones a chance to live normal lives once more. But as she reached out to comfort them, a sudden chill ran down her spine.

Amun'ra was not one to be defeated so easily. With a wicked grin, he raised his staff and began to chant ancient incantation of the anunnaki. Maria's heart sank as she realized what he was doing - preparing for another battle, one that would test her limits like never before, on the other side she was scared .

Maria stood on the battlefield, bloodied and exhausted, yet determination gleamed in her eyes. She had fought fiercely, fueled by a power that seemed to surge through her veins. It was a power she couldn't quite explain, but one that had saved her time and time again.

With a burst of energy, Amun'ra unleashed a wave of dark powers that enveloped the battlefield. Maria felt her strength waning as she struggled to push back against the oppressive force. Just when all hope seemed lost. She raised her sword, ready to strike down her enemies, a voice whispered in her mind. It was a voice filled with ancient wisdom and raw power. It was the voice of the war goddess spirit that had been trapped in the sword.

"You fight well, Maria," the voice intoned. "But you can be even stronger. Let me guide you, let me merge with you, and together we will be unstoppable, Use your true power, Maria. Unleash the goddess within you."

With a newfound resolve, Maria closed her eyes and reached deep within her soul. She called upon the ancient power that lay dormant within her, feeling it surge through her veins like wildfire. Opening her eyes, she raised her sword and charged towards Amun'ra with a battle cry that shook the ground beneath her feet. She felt a surge of power unlike anything she had ever experienced. Her movements became fluid and precise, her strikes deadly and swift. It was as if the war goddess herself was fighting through her.

The two clashed with a ferocity that shook the very earth, their weapons meeting in a dazzling display of light and shadow. With each strike, Maria could feel her power growing stronger, pushing back against Amun'ra's dark magic with ease.

The battlefield fell silent, the only sound the soft rustle of the wind through the trees. Unbeknownst to her Amun'ra didn't come to fight it was a prank of distraction as he took Ocen's lifeless body and vanished in thin air as he teleported. Maria stood victorious, her sword held high as she looked out over the ruined landscape.

But just as she began to relax, a voice whispered in her ear once more.

"Well done, Maria. But the war is far from over. Your true enemy is on his way."

With a sinking feeling in her heart, Maria turned to face the horizon, knowing that her greatest challenge was yet to come.

Unsure of the implications of having the war goddess primordial spirit to in her body. It may leave her a mere vessels for it's own desires. But as her enemy closed in, she knew she needed all the help she could get

With Maria and the war goddess spirit, she managed to cut through their enemies like a swift river carving through stone. the tide of the battle turning in their favor.

But as the dust settled, Maria felt a shiver run down her spine. The war goddess spirit, now merged with her, seemed to be growing stronger, more insistent. It clamored for control, its ancient rage bubbling to the surface.

Maria fought back, trying to maintain her own grip on her body and soul. She knew that if she let the war goddess take over completely, she would lose herself in the process.

The war goddess, however, was relentless. It wanted revenge on those who had betrayed her millennia ago, leading to her own demise. It wanted to use Maria's body as a vessel for its wrath, to wreak havoc on those who had wronged her.

But Maria resisted, holding on to her humanity with every fiber of her being. She knew that the war goddess's desires were not hers yet she had to endure to stay with her in the same body as both spirits keep clashing against each other. Still she needed her the most at that time , knowing unless Amun'ra is terminated completely, there won't be peace.

But for now, Maria was free. She had won the battle, not just against her enemies, but against herself. And as she walked away from the battlefield, she knew that her journey was far from over. The war goddess may have been a part of her, but she was determined to forge her own path, to write her own story, no matter what challenges lay ahead.

Maria's future uncertain yet full of endless possibilities. And as she continued on her journey, she knew that she would face whatever came her way with courage, strength, and a fierce determination to remain true to herself.

As they welcomed the evacuated people, gazing at the little prince, she was gleeful on how he managed to lead his people to a safe place safe and sound.
