He saw that the chamber was now empty, the Demon was gone. He had heard Euryale say something about a ritual and left, but his mind was in too much of a haze to even comprehend what had happened.
His vision got blurry, the entire room was spinning, and he got a piercing pain in his forehead. This was the venom in action, it was trying to force him into his paralyzing memory state, which for some reason wasn't working on him anymore. He was bitten by the serpents multiple times after Euryale easily defeated him and the toxin could only give him severe pain, so excruciating that he has passed out multiple times over the past two days.
