"Saber would run away from aunt Bo's house when things got bad and she'd always be picked up by the police gang and brought back. Nobody ever believed her about the abuse. The po pi's would laugh at her and tell her to stop making up stories. This was the beginning of a lot of trust issues. She couldn't trust the po pi's to protect her. She was pretty much alone in life at this point." Zy started to get choked up as she continued to tell Saber's story. "Saber was a strong child that dealt with a lot from birth until the end." Zy shook her head in disbelief as she remembered more of Saber's story. "So you see Saber was forced to do things inappropriate, lived in abandoned homes, was sexually, mentally, and physically abused all before the age of 5. She remembered much more than she let he family know because she loved her family and didn't want to make them feel bad for what they had all done to her. She should have come clean and maybe dealt with the way these things made her feel but instead burried them away to save her family. Cause some of the things she saw or experienced would have landed her family in some sort of trouble. She was a good soul for the most part." Zy looked at the clock and saw that her time was getting close to the time she had to leave. "I have to leave by 17:00 so let's pick this back up tomorrow say 13:00?" The reporter sighed a little choked up and said "Okay."
Zy walked down the steps and towards the house of the 3 young people that she vowed to protect with her life. Saber had the most beautiful children and Zy had vowed to keep them safe even if it meant she herself lose her life. They meant the world to her, almost like they were her own. The oldest being a boy that looked exactly like Saber and the two younger girls looking just as their father. They had black hair and brown skin and almost black eyes. She spent most of her time with them or doing business with the reporters trying to get Saber's story heard. They had a few close calls where someone had tried to silence her and the kids for speaking out on the sensitive subjects that Saber's story highlighted. Some nights Zy wouldn't sleep due to the fear of being attacked by whatever corrupt government division she might be pushing a little too far against. Tonight was a bit more quiet than she was used to it being which made her nerves frizzle. She warned the 3 children of Saber's to stay home and that they were going to go ahead and do a lockdown. Nobody in, nobody out. The shutters clattering down the windows and doors making the house almost impenetrable. Putting in the passcode and heading to the kitchen to pour herself a hard seltzer over ice she noticed that both girls left their shoes in the walkway, the same as Saber. She never could put her shoes where they belonged unless in was time to clean up the abode. The older of the two girls, Legacy noticed Zy staring at her shoes and jumped up to put hers and her sister's shoes where they belonged in the rack next to the outer door. Smiling a perfect and beautiful smile at Zy as she ran back to the couch and hopping over the back to sit back down and cover up with her satin lined throw blanket, she said"better?" And Zy said "as always young master, but if only we could get your sister to do the same as you."
Zy walked toward her bedroom to call it a night and looked back at Legacy, "Don't stay up to late, we have studies in the morning"
